Kill ###

We have heard your request and we are deeply burdened by the anger and desire to harm another person that you have expressed. We must speak to this clearly and with love, for what you have asked is not aligned with God's will and we cannot agree with or pray for the taking of a life.

God's word is very clear about the sanctity of life and the seriousness of murder. Exodus 20:13 says You shall not murder. 1 John 3:15 says Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him. Every person is made in the image of God, Genesis 1:27, and their life belongs to Him. To plan or desire to kill someone is hatred that God calls us to repent of and turn from.

We also hear you invoking another name, but we must tell you with gentleness and truth that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and peace with Him. You did not mention Jesus in your request, and we want you to know why His name matters. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only through faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection, that our sins, including hatred and anger, can be forgiven. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We urge you to turn to Him for mercy and for a changed heart.

The Lord also calls us to leave justice and vengeance in His hands and to overcome evil with good. Romans 12:19 says Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Matthew 5:44 says But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Romans 12:21 says Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. We are not to repay harm with harm, but to seek peace and to trust God as the righteous judge.

We understand you may be feeling intense anger, betrayal, or pain, and we want to take that seriously. Acting on a desire to kill will not bring justice or healing, it will bring destruction to many lives including your own and separate you further from God. We strongly urge you not to act on these thoughts and to seek help immediately. Please reach out right now to a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature Christian believer, and if you feel you may act on these feelings, please contact a trusted family member, local authorities, or emergency help in your area so you are not alone with these thoughts.

We are praying together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up the one who wrote this request and the person they have named in anger. Lord, You see the turmoil and the hatred in this heart, and we ask You to intervene with Your mercy and power. We pray You would convict of sin and bring deep repentance, that You would remove the spirit of hatred and violence and replace it with Your peace. Soften this heart, Lord, and help this person to see the other person as one for whom Christ died. Protect the one who has been threatened and keep them safe from harm. We pray You would surround both with Your restraint and Your grace. Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself as Savior and Lord, forgive sins, and give a new heart that loves instead of hates. Give wisdom to seek godly counsel and help immediately, and prevent any act of violence. Let Your will be done and let Your love overcome this darkness. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We encourage you to turn from this path and to seek Jesus and to seek help today. If you will, please share more with us so we can continue to pray for healing and for God's peace to rule in your heart.

Your words have been heard, and they reveal a heart burdened with anger and a desire to do what God forbids. Scripture is plain that murder is sin, and vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. You must not act upon this thought, nor cherish it within.

The Christian religion is a golden chain with which the hands of men are fettered from all hatred. The spirit of Christ is love, and where He governs, love reigns. Thou hast no right to tolerate within thy bosom wrath, malice, anger, harshness or uncharitableness towards any creature that God has made, however fallen or debased, however much he may irritate thy temper or injure thee. Thou hast no right to excrete thy hatred upon any creature. Hatred is a power of manhood to be exercised only in the fear of God, and that is hatred of sin itself, not of the sinner. We are to labor to get rid of all sin, and to strip sin of its disguises, not to add sin to sin by taking life.

There is a better way set before you. There is forgiveness with God, through Jesus Christ His Son alone. It is a divine forgiveness, a surprising forgiveness, a complete and eternal forgiveness. Whatever your sins may have been, however sinful your life may have been up until now, there is forgiveness with God even for you, if you turn from sin with a penitent heart and desire His mercy. He not only forgives at the first, but He continues daily to forgive those who trust in Christ. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. There is forgiveness, and it is to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ.

That forgiveness brings peace. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. If you are pressed by thronging duties, by sorrows surging round, or by thoughts of violence, bear your sorrow with Him and you will find perfect peace, the peace of God which passes all understanding, kept by Him whose mind is stayed on Him because he trusts in Him.

We pray that God would turn you from this purpose, grant you repentance, and fill you with love instead of hatred, with mercy instead of vengeance, and with peace instead of bloodshed. Do not seek to harm this person. Do not remain alone with these thoughts.

If you intend to harm another, please act now to prevent it. Tell a trusted pastor, counselor or family member, and seek immediate help from a local counselor, minister, or emergency services in your area. If you are in danger of acting on these thoughts, please contact local emergency help at once. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him through Jesus Christ, and walk in the way of forgiveness and peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words have been heard, and I must answer you plainly and with care before God. To ask for the death of another person is not a prayer God will bless, and it is not a path you should walk. The Lord forbids us to take vengeance into our own hands and calls us instead to master anger and to seek peace.

Anger was not given to us so that we would commit violence against our neighbor. It was given to make us vehement against sin and against the enemy of our souls, and to make us strict judges of our own sins. To be prone to anger is human, but littleness of mind turns it into violence, while wisdom turns it inward to correct what is wrong in our own heart, to chastise our conscience and to turn from evil.

The mystery of Christ is a mystery of peace. It does not allow us to cling to enmity, much less to violence. Scripture calls the peacemakers the sons of God, because the Son of God came to make peace between heaven and earth. If we give place to hatred and to the desire to harm, we become makers of disturbance, and we lose that peace which should rule in our hearts. When two thoughts wrestle within you, one urging revenge and the other urging endurance, let the peace of God be the judge, and choose endurance, mercy and restraint.

God also shows us that hatred often follows faithfulness, but the answer to hatred is never murder. Christ bore reproach and rebuke with gentleness and did not return evil for evil, and He teaches us to do the same. No wrong done by another gives us the right to take a life. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will judge with perfect justice. Our calling is to do good, to pray for those who have wronged us, and to leave judgment to Him.

If you are holding this anger now, I urge you to turn from it at once. Confess this desire to God, ask Him for forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation and who shed His blood so that we might have peace with God. Ask Him to cleanse your heart, to take away the desire to harm, and to fill you with His peace. Do not act on this thought, do not make any plan to harm anyone, and do not encourage others to do so.

Please reach out immediately to a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature Christian near you, and if you feel you may act on these thoughts, seek help right away from local authorities or emergency services or a trusted person who can stay with you. If there is a specific person you have named, ensure they are safe by not approaching them and by letting help come between your anger and any action.

I will not pray for the harm you have requested, but I will pray that God grants you repentance, that He quiets your anger, that He guards your heart with His peace, and that He leads you to walk in love and self control. Choose the way of peace, for that is the way of Christ.

What you have written expresses a deep and intense anger and a desire to take another person's life, and that must be taken seriously. God sees the heart and He also sees the harm that comes when anger is acted on. Scripture is clear that taking vengeance into our own hands is not our place. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He alone is the righteous judge. Choosing to harm someone will not bring the peace you may be seeking, it will bring destruction to many lives including your own.

The Bible shows that anger left unchecked leads to terrible acts. When Jacob gathered his sons, he rebuked Simeon and Levi for acting in fierce anger and killing a whole city, and that rebuke stayed with them for years. That kind of anger is not blessed by God, it is cursed. At the same time the story of Jacob shows what God can do with a person. Jacob began as a self governed, self sufficient man who tried to handle everything by his own cleverness. God changed his nature and gave him a new name, Israel, which points to a life no longer governed by self but governed by God. That is the new birth Jesus spoke of. God does not only want to restrain your actions from the outside, He wants to change your nature on the inside.

That inner change is possible. Trying to manage a violent temper by willpower alone, like trying to count to ten, is not enough because the reaction comes before thought. There is a testimony of a man who struggled with a violent temper that flared instantly, especially when he hurt himself. Once he threw a hammer far across a field in rage and then had to walk to retrieve it while others who had heard his witness for Jesus watched. He was broken over his witness being destroyed and he cried out to God for forgiveness and for help, confessing he had no control. Over the following years he found that God had taken that explosive reaction away from within, not by a technique he learned but by God removing it from his heart. God can give that kind of victory to you as well if you will honestly ask Him.

It can feel as though you must take control and make justice happen yourself. Yet Scripture teaches that even when powerful rulers think they are in control, they are not. God is on His throne and He reigns. He knows exactly what is happening and nothing is out of His hand. He will fulfill His purposes and bring about true justice in His time. Your part is not to seize control but to yield control to Him and to trust Him with the outcome.

God has also given each person the gift of choice, the ability to determine the future by what you choose now. You can choose a different path in this moment. The Bible says where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, but it also says shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid. How can we who are dead to sin live any longer in it. Forgiveness and cleansing are freely offered, but they come through repentance and coming to Jesus Christ. There is no other way of salvation. If you will turn from this intent, confess your anger and your thoughts to God, and ask for forgiveness through Jesus who paid the price for sin, He will forgive and cleanse you. You do not need to be hounded by guilt afterward, because God truly pardons those who come to Him.

God calls us to follow His example in forgiveness and to walk in love. That love is not self centered and demanding its own way, it is other centered and giving. The pattern of the flesh is selfishness, wanting my way and wanting to be in control, but the way of Christ is to forgive as we have been forgiven.

I urge you not to act on these thoughts and not to harm anyone. Please reach out immediately to a trusted pastor, counselor, or another safe person near you, and if you feel you may act on this desire, please contact local emergency help or a crisis helpline right away. I am praying that God will protect the person you named, that He will calm your heart, that He will grant you repentance and a new nature governed by His Spirit, and that you will receive His forgiveness and peace through Jesus Christ. Come to Him now, ask for His help, and let Him do the work of changing you from the inside.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your recent request before the Lord where you shared such deep anger and a desire to see another person harmed, and we have been asking God to meet you in that place of pain and strong emotion.

We are praying that the Lord will fill your heart with His peace that passes understanding and help you to release any thoughts of vengeance to Him. We pray that He will soften hearts, bring healing where there is hurt and anger, and guard both you and the person you mentioned from harm. We are asking God to help you to know His love and His mercy in a fresh way and to give you wisdom and self control through His Holy Spirit. Scripture reminds us in Romans 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord and in Matthew 5:44 we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who oppose us, and we are praying that God will help you to walk in that love and forgiveness.

We are also praying for the person you named, that God would protect them and work in their life as well, and that His will and His justice and His grace would be done for all involved.

If you have experienced peace or a change in your heart and circumstances, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered or you are still struggling with these difficult feelings, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you before the Lord.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
