We hear your heartfelt cry for your children, and we join with you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. Your desire for their protection, guidance, and transformation is deeply rooted in love, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s will for their lives.

First, we must address the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that your children would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, if they have not already, and that the Holy Spirit would dwell within them, guiding their steps. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and draw them into a personal relationship with Him.

We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, laziness, and worldly influence that may be at work in their lives. The Bible warns us, "Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33). We pray that your children would be surrounded by godly influences, friends, mentors, and teachers who will point them toward righteousness. We also rebuke any spirit of pride or defiance that may be hindering their attitudes, particularly in your daughter’s approach to school. Proverbs 1:7 tells us, "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction." We pray that she would embrace humility and a teachable spirit, recognizing that wisdom comes from God.

Regarding their appearance and behavior, we affirm your desire to guide them in modesty and godliness. The Bible instructs us, "In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety" (1 Timothy 2:9). We pray that your daughter would embrace a heart of modesty, not just in her outward appearance but in her attitude and actions. For your son, we pray that his communication would reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, patience, and kindness (Galatians 5:22-23). We rebuke any spirit of disrespect or defiance that may be present in his interactions with others.

We also lift up their academic struggles. The Bible tells us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). We pray that your children would find joy and purpose in their studies, recognizing that their efforts are ultimately for God’s glory. We ask the Lord to give them focus, discipline, and a hunger for learning. If there are underlying issues, such as learning difficulties or emotional struggles, we pray for divine intervention and wisdom for you as their parent to address these needs.

Above all, we pray for their spiritual growth. We ask that the Holy Spirit would fill them with wisdom, faith, kindness, and patience. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, protected from every scheme of the enemy. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that they would walk in the light of Christ, making choices that honor Him in every area of their lives.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of love and concern for these precious children. We thank You for the gift of parenthood and for the opportunity to raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Lord, we ask that You would draw them close to You, that they would know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, faith, and obedience.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of rebellion, laziness, and worldly influence that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy in their lives. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, protected from every evil scheme. Lord, we pray for their attitudes, grant them humility, teachability, and a desire to honor You in all they do. For the daughter struggling in school, we ask that You would change her heart and give her a love for learning. For the son, we pray that his communication would reflect the fruit of Your Spirit, love, patience, and kindness.

We pray for their outward appearance, that it would reflect inward modesty and godliness. Help them to dress and carry themselves in a way that honors You. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly influences, friends, mentors, and teachers who will point them toward righteousness. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in Your ways.

Father, we pray for their academic success. Grant them focus, discipline, and a heart that seeks to glorify You in their studies. If there are learning difficulties or emotional struggles, we ask for Your divine intervention and wisdom for their parents to guide them.

Above all, Lord, we pray that they would grow in their relationship with You. Fill them with Your wisdom, faith, kindness, and patience. May they walk in the light of Christ, making choices that honor You in every area of their lives. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we thank You for Your protection and provision.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear a mom or dad’s love woven through every line of your prayer, you’re carrying your children to Jesus with deep, specific trust. That’s not small; that’s you participating in God’s care for them. You’ve named protection over what they encounter, you’ve named their hearts and choices, and you’ve even named daily things like attitude and how they dress and communicate. God doesn’t overlook any of those details. He knows each child completely, and he is attentive to the things that keep you awake at night.

Keep talking to the Lord this way, freely, repeatedly, with all the ragged edges. When you notice a flicker of kindness in your daughter or a moment of clearer connection with your son, let yourself see those as little answers to your prayers, because often God works in increments we can miss if we’re only watching for the finish line. Your steady, faithful presence is the soil where their growth happens, and you don't have to manufacture that growth yourself. You’re asking; he’s working.

Jesus, thank you for this parent’s love. Watch over their daughter and son: shield them from what would pull them away from you, and give them wisdom to recognize your voice. Change what needs changing in their attitudes and conduct in your gentle, patient way. Hold their hands through every step, and when they stumble, catch them. Give this mom or dad peace that you are with them, even in the waiting. In Jesus’ name.

How precious that you bring your children before the throne of grace, pleading the blood of Jesus over them from head to foot! That covering is the only shield against the evil that prowls about. Yet mark this: the very best prayer you can offer for their protection and guidance is, "Teach me to do Your will." If they are taught of God to do right, none can truly harm them. When you cry for their steps to be held and their choices made in His light, you are asking for the great principle infused in every soul that takes God for its Guide, to avoid everything that is evil.

Do not be surprised when their hearts betray the weeds of a fallen nature. Children need no diabolical school to learn evil thoughts, for the heart itself is a den of iniquity. You have spoken of their attitudes, dress, and communication, these outward things are but the overflow of what stirs within. Cry then, not merely for mended manners, but for the blood of Jesus Christ His Son to cleanse them from all sin. Let them learn that sin is an exceeding great evil, and that the blood of Christ is exceedingly precious. The Spirit must first convict of heart sins, for there lies the root.

Remember the Lord’s own manner with His little ones: He does not chide for every mistake, but like a father pitieth his children, so He pitieth them that fear Him. He teaches them to walk, bearing with their follies, because they are His own offspring. You, too, must show patience, avoiding the return of harshness for their failures. To overcome their youthful waywardness with sharp anger is to increase the evil; but to meet it with love and steady teaching of God’s word is to overcome evil with good.

Guide them in the Scriptures, for where the Bible leads, you must follow, and in its light there is no darkness. And when you are perplexed by their slow progress, stand still and breathe a prayer to God for guidance. Do not let evil questioning, that liar who calls himself Honest Enquiry, rob you of faith. The Lord who said, “Return, ye backsliding children, and I will forgive your iniquities,” is faithful. He will take these children from your hand and grant them wisdom, faith, kindness, patience, health, and salvation, yes, and everything He offers us in Jesus’ name. Cast this burden on Him; He will not suffer you to be moved.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of a covering of blood for protection, yet you dress your daughter in a way that invites the world's gaze. What sort of covering is that? You pray for her attitude to change, but you neglect the root: her attire teaches her own heart and the eyes of others a certain lesson. If you would have her modest, a keeper at home, despising ornament, then you must not undo that prayer with your own hands. Do not teach her to paint her face or to be noticed for her outward form, for that is the poison that undoes a mother’s prayers and makes a daughter easy prey for vanity and worse. Let her clothing speak of shamefacedness, not studied care, and you will have begun to answer your own request.

You ask that no evil harm come near them, yet you tremble at the world’s influences as though Christ were not stronger. He who is the Captain of our salvation did not promise a path free from snares, but a way through them by patient endurance. Your fear itself is a teacher to your children, and it is not the fear of the Lord you show, but the fear of common misfortune which the heathen share. Will you reason with them about immortality when you shudder so? Turn your anxiety into action: let your son see in you a soul that trusts in God’s lovingkindness, not a spirit broken by every trouble. For if you are afflicted, it can work for his comfort and salvation if he sees you enduring it with hope.

You pray for your son’s speech and behavior to improve. Good. But then form him in the school of your own house. Let him learn to govern his appetites, to be sober and submissive to rule. The root being made good, good branches shoot forth. But if you merely cry out for change and do not instruct him with diligence, your prayer is half-finished. You must be the leaven that transforms the whole lump; you must be as a hen gathering her chicks, not merely once but often, with warmth and persistence. And do not think that pleading with God apart from such training will suffice. His mercies delivered us, the Apostle says, but also the prayers and the godly behavior of the faithful.

You ask that they know the Lord is always with them. Teach them, then, that to be with Him is to be like Him. He is not a servant of their choices; they are to be servants of His will. If you truly want them to make His choices, stop speaking of "normal and happy" as the world speaks, and speak instead of holy and saved. For what the world calls normal is often the wide road. Let your daughter’s attitude change, yes, but begin with her dress, which is the outward sign of the inward posture. Let your son’s communication be better, but first teach him the modesty of silence and the wisdom of listening to his mother’s pious instruction.

You have asked for the Holy Spirit, wisdom, faith, kindness, patience, and salvation. This is a complete prayer in its objects. Now complete it in your behavior. When you put off vain ornament and extravagant care for appearance, you are clothing them in the very prayers you have spoken. For if you send them from your father’s house to the world as combatants from a school of exercise, furnished with all necessary knowledge and shining with modesty, you will save not only them, but the households they may one day form. And for this you will receive a great reward, through the grace and lovingkindness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The cry of a parent's heart for a daughter and a son reaches the throne of God. You are asking for guidance, protection, wise choices, a changed attitude, better communication, health, salvation, and the Holy Spirit's work in them. That is exactly the kind of prayer a father or mother should bring. The Scriptures show children being brought to Jesus so that He might touch them and bless them, and even when others thought it was too small a matter, the Lord received them gladly. Keep bringing your children to Him.

Your children are not yours ultimately. They are gifts God has graciously given for a season. That does not weaken your prayers. It strengthens them, because you are asking the One who loves them perfectly to do what you cannot. You can set boundaries, teach, correct, and model faith, but only the Lord can change the heart. Pray for the outward things: safety from harmful influences, improvement in school, modesty in dress, clearer communication, and a better attitude. Yet ask for something deeper. Ask that Christ be formed in them. Kindness, wisdom, patience, faith, and salvation must grow from the inside, not be painted on the outside.

Do not think prayer is a way of pressuring God into your plan. Prayer is not arguing Him into agreement. But Scripture also says the fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. God may use your prayers in ways you cannot see. Isaac prayed for his wife and God opened her womb. Hannah poured out her soul for a son, and God heard. Sometimes the waiting changes the one who prays as much as the one prayed for. Do not grow weary or faint.

Ask for the Holy Spirit to be with them, but also trust that Jesus is able to hold them more securely than your own watchfulness ever could. You want them to turn out good, normal, happy, and healthy, and there is nothing wrong with desiring their wellbeing. But hold that desire loosely. The higher goal is that they know the Lord, walk in His light, and become children of promise through faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for their salvation before you pray for their comfort.

Pray, then rest. God sees your daughter and your son. He sees your concern. He is not far off. Keep your own heart free from anxiety by laying them before the Lord and leaving them in His hands. He is able to guard them and to change what needs changing in His time and in His way.
