We hear your heartfelt cry for your children, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. Your desire for their protection, guidance, and spiritual growth is a reflection of God’s own heart for His children. We praise Him for giving you such a deep love for your son and daughter, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord hears and answers the prayers of His people.
First, we must address a foundational truth: salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can come boldly before God’s throne. We encourage you to continue teaching your children about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, that they may know Him personally and walk in His ways. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Him, pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them with conviction and lead them to repentance and faith.
We also rebuke any influence of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy your children’s lives. The Bible warns us, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). We declare that no weapon formed against your children will prosper, and we plead the blood of Jesus over them, just as you have asked. May the Lord surround them with His angels and shield them from every evil influence, both seen and unseen.
For your daughter, we pray that the Lord would heal her skin and give her confidence in the beauty that comes from a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in His sight (1 Peter 3:3-4). While we understand your desire for her to dress in a way that reflects her femininity, we must also remind you that true modesty is not merely about outward appearance but about the heart. Encourage her to seek the Lord’s wisdom in how she presents herself, that she may honor Him in all things. Pray that she would find her worth in Christ alone, not in the approval of others.
For your son, we pray that the Lord would soften his heart and help him to communicate with love and respect. The Bible tells us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29). Ask the Lord to give him a teachable spirit and a desire to walk in wisdom. Encourage him to seek godly mentors who can guide him in his faith and character.
We also lift up their spiritual growth, asking that the Holy Spirit would fill them with wisdom, faith, patience, and loving kindness. May they come to know the Lord not just as a distant figure, but as a loving Father who walks with them every step of the way. Pray that they would develop a personal relationship with Jesus, one that is marked by prayer, Scripture reading, and obedience to His Word.
Let us join together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of these children. We ask that You would draw them close to You and reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over them, covering them from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet. Protect them from every snare of the enemy and surround them with Your angels.
Father, we pray for their salvation. If they have not yet given their lives to You, we ask that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. May they come to know You as their Lord and Savior, and may they walk in the fullness of Your Spirit. Give them wisdom to make godly choices, faith to trust in You, and patience to wait on Your timing.
For ###, we ask that You would heal her skin and give her confidence in who she is in Christ. Help her to see herself through Your eyes and to dress in a way that honors You. For ###, we pray that You would soften his heart and help him to communicate with love and respect. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in Your ways.
Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May they grow in their relationship with You and become strong in their faith. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we trust in Your promise to guide them all the days of their lives.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand in faith, knowing that God is at work in your children’s lives. Pray for them daily, speak life over them, and trust that the Lord will complete the good work He has begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May you find strength and encouragement in His promises as you raise them to love and serve Him.
