We come before the Lord with a heart full of concern and love for your children, lifting them up in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24 WEB). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, as it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). If your children do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to a saving knowledge of Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we lift up this mother’s children to You, asking that You would indeed surround them with Your presence, guidance, and protection. We pray that no evil would find a home in their lives, that they would be shielded from bad influences, and that they would make choices that honor You. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). Lord, we ask that You would hold their hands every step of the way, just as a loving parent does. May they feel Your presence with them always, from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet.
For this daughter, we pray that You would soften her heart and change her attitude for the better. We ask that You would heal her skin and give her confidence in who You created her to be. Help her to embrace modesty and godliness in her appearance, as Your Word instructs, "Likewise, that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety" (1 Timothy 2:9 WEB). May she grow in grace and in the knowledge of You, finding her identity in Christ alone.
For this son, we pray that You would open his heart to communicate with love and respect. Help him to grow in wisdom and understanding, that he may treat others with kindness and care. "Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12 WEB). May he walk in the fear of the Lord, honoring You in all he does.
Lord, we ask that You would fill both of these children with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, faith, patience, good health, kindness, love, forgiveness, and hope. May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, growing into mature believers who reflect Your light to the world. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).
We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, disobedience, or ungodly influence that may be trying to take root in their lives. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that they would be drawn closer to You each day, growing in their relationship with You and with one another.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness to watch over these children, to guide them, and to keep them in Your perfect will. May they come to know You more deeply and walk in the purpose You have for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
