We come before the Lord with a heart full of concern and love for your children, lifting them up in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24 WEB). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, as it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). If your children do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to a saving knowledge of Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Father God, we lift up this mother’s children to You, asking that You would indeed surround them with Your presence, guidance, and protection. We pray that no evil would find a home in their lives, that they would be shielded from bad influences, and that they would make choices that honor You. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). Lord, we ask that You would hold their hands every step of the way, just as a loving parent does. May they feel Your presence with them always, from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet.

For this daughter, we pray that You would soften her heart and change her attitude for the better. We ask that You would heal her skin and give her confidence in who You created her to be. Help her to embrace modesty and godliness in her appearance, as Your Word instructs, "Likewise, that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety" (1 Timothy 2:9 WEB). May she grow in grace and in the knowledge of You, finding her identity in Christ alone.

For this son, we pray that You would open his heart to communicate with love and respect. Help him to grow in wisdom and understanding, that he may treat others with kindness and care. "Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12 WEB). May he walk in the fear of the Lord, honoring You in all he does.

Lord, we ask that You would fill both of these children with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, faith, patience, good health, kindness, love, forgiveness, and hope. May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, growing into mature believers who reflect Your light to the world. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).

We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, disobedience, or ungodly influence that may be trying to take root in their lives. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that they would be drawn closer to You each day, growing in their relationship with You and with one another.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness to watch over these children, to guide them, and to keep them in Your perfect will. May they come to know You more deeply and walk in the purpose You have for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Reading your prayer, we’re moved by the depth of a parent’s love, the way you’re lifting up everything from your daughter’s attitude and skin to your son’s communication, all while asking the Lord to hold them every step of the way. It’s clear you’re carrying their wellbeing close to your heart, and it’s a beautiful thing to bring those daily, specific concerns to the One who made them and knows them even better than you do.

As you continue to pray, we’d also gently encourage you to seek practical help for the acne. A doctor or dermatologist can often offer treatments that make a real difference, and involving a professional doesn’t compete with prayer, it’s part of how God meets our needs through the skills of others. You’re not lacking faith by getting that support; you’re being a wise and caring parent.

With your daughter’s attitude and how she dresses, remember that hearts often soften most in the presence of patient, consistent love. Keeping the lines of communication open, listening without rushing to fix, can go a long way, especially as she navigates these years. And for your son, your desire for him to express love and care well is something you’re already modeling by the way you’re praying for him. Even small moments of connection, like a shared activity or simply being present without pressure, can nurture his communication slowly and naturally.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to You. Thank You for this parent’s fierce love and trust in You. Watch over these children, guide them, protect them, and draw their hearts toward what is good. Bring wisdom to parenting decisions, patience in the hard moments, and small victories in the areas that feel heavy right now. For the daughter, we ask for healthy skin, a settled heart, and a deepening sense of her own worth in Your eyes. For the son, grant growth in his ability to connect and care, and surround him with friendships that build him up. And for this parent, grant peace in the waiting and confidence that You are always at work. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The cry of your heart rises like incense, and it is to the Great Physician you must look. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ carries virtue to restore. Your daughter’s acne, her attitude, her dress, these are but outward tokens of an inward need that only His hand can touch. You plead for guidance and protection; then bring your children under the sound of His teaching, for faith comes by hearing. When Jesus is lifted up in the home, by a mother’s lips and a mother’s prayers, healing power is present. Do not grow weary in speaking His name over them when they rise and when they lie down.

Yet mark this well: you must have healing yourself before you can minister healing to them. The soul fretted with cares over children must first bow with submission to the will of God. Haste and anxiety work mischief; quiet trust opens the door for the Spirit’s work. The Lord who forgives your sins is the same who touches the fevered brow and lifts up the weak. Go to Him for your own pardon and peace, and then out of that wholeness you shall serve your household. A mother healed by grace becomes a channel of grace. The woman Christ raised from her fever straightway ministered to Him; so shall you.

Bring your son and daughter to the Word as often as you are able. Their communication struggles, their choices, the influences that knock at the door, all these are overcome not by frantic pleading alone, but by getting them under the dripping of divine truth. The very leaves of Scripture carry balm. Trust that the same hand that holds the stars can hold your children’s steps. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings; may His light break upon your daughter’s countenance and your son’s spirit, making them whole, happy, and holy, to the praise of His glorious grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out many requests for your children: protection, clear skin, girlish dress, better attitudes. But examine what you truly seek. Do you pray for their earthly comfort more than the health of their souls? The acne you ask to clear, it is outward. The clothing you desire, it is outward. But where is the cry for their hearts to be meek, forgiving, and set on things above? I do not rebuke you for praying for their protection and guidance; that is good. Yet I see you surround them with so many outer walls, as if these would keep them safe. Do not put your trust in such things. Train them to stand firm on their own, in virtue, so that no fortune or misfortune may shake them.

Bring them up in the chastening and admonition of the Lord, not in softness and silk. If you fix your eyes on their hair and skin and garments, you teach them to value what flees away. But if you mold them into the likeness of God, to be humble, to forgive, to love, to care for others, then you build an image that will last for eternity. A child who learns to despise riches and to bear trials with patience, that child is rich indeed, even if she wears plain wool.

Do not say, “I have only this or that, I cannot do great things.” You have your children before you every day. Your words, your example, your prayers, your correction, this is the talent God gave you. Use it for their souls. When you teach them to look not upon the face but upon the heart, then you offer them true beauty. No clearer skin can compare to a cleansed soul. No fine clothing equals the robe of Christ’s righteousness.

And so I urge you: pray for wisdom, yes, and for the Holy Spirit to fill them, but strive also to make your home a little church, where the love of money and vanity find no foothold. Then their attitudes will change not by your anxiety, but by the grace of Christ at work in them. Let your daughter learn that her worth rests in godliness, not in the mirror. Let your son learn that his voice is best used to speak kindness and truth. Concern yourself less with how they appear to men and more with how they stand before the judgment seat.

The Lord sees your love. But let it be a godly love, that trains them for heaven, not only for this fleeting world. If you give them this, you will have great boldness in that Day.
