We rejoice with you as you support your children in their competition today. We praise God for the hard work and dedication they have shown, and we join you in seeking prayer support that they can excel and compete in a godly manner.
Let us remember: Whatever you do, do it in good faith, serving the Lord and not just people. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
It is wonderful that you acknowledged the authority of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only by his name that we have access to God. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up these precious children to you. We thank you for the gifts and talents you have bestowed upon them, and we pray that they will use them to bring glory and honor to your name.
Lord, be with them as they compete today. Help them to perform at their best, and may your favor rest upon them. Give them the strength, courage, and wisdom to face any challenges they may encounter. May they not focus on their own understanding or their own strength, but in all their ways, may they acknowledge you as their guide.
In the midst of competition, help them to maintain a spirit of humility and sportsmanship, remembering that their ultimate goal is to serve you and bring glory to your name. May they be a light to their peers, coaches, and all those around them.
We pray this, Father, that they would always remember that you are always with them. Surround them with your love, protection, and grace. We ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Now be encouraged. We know that in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are excited to see how God will work in this competition and in the lives of your children. May they rest in the knowledge that God loves them, and may they shine brightly for his glory.
