Am still in severe pain. I have asked the Lord to guide me in my decisions about how to proceed in treating my injuries. I was told by a friend that deep tissue therapy would work the best on me and so I did internet search to find one. She thinks she can treat me in four half-hour sessions. I am going to VA for the physical therapy tomorrow, but I am also going to this massage therapist on Friday. I believe I am doing the right thing and the most cost-effective thing. The massage therapist specializes in trigger point release and in myofascial stretching. That is exactly what I need. I also need to focus on correct posture, ergonomic typing station and other things. While I do indeed have a repetitive motion injury, my tension levels and my posture, etc., are contributing to my problem. I do not handle stress well. In addition, Jim is giving me more and more stress. I think maybe I have to consider letting him go. I could feel my stomach muscles tightening today when I was dealing with him. I pray that you continue to pray for my full recovery. I also pray that I am making sound, cost-effective decisions. I purchased a new mattress on e-bay, as well as a new memory foam mattress topper and good mattress pad and encasements. I think I would also benefit from a shoulder posture trainer. I have been with my shoulders hunched up for most of my life, which is not good. I also think a chair with adjustable height and proper back support would help. UPSHOT: Continue to pray for my entire situation. In particular, pray I am making wise choices in my purchases. I am doing my best and have hunted for bargains. I think the things I bought were needed. Looking forward to rapid recovery and to be able to come back on prayer line.
