Praise be to God. I thank everyone for all of your prayers.
Please pray that God restores me and gives me strength. Throughout my past relationship, I was belittled constantly. I find it hard to go back to the version of myself I was before. The man told me he'd marry me, and that he loved me, but when it came to our daily interactions, I always left feeling drained. I was, objectively speaking, lightyears ahead of him academically. Therefore, I always made a conscious effort to validate him and tell him he's such an amazing and smart and hardworking boyfriend, but the more I did that, the more he started disrespecting me; he'd even leave me waiting for hours for him, had zero care for my own work and sleep. Please pray that I manage to remember again what God's purpose for my life is and how blessed I already am.
To share a beautiful story about God's goodness, I already finished one year of university in a language of instruction I've never studied before, some exams even with maximal grades; I've been offered two jobs already at very high institutions in my country; I already have a summer job teaching Olympiad mathematics. all of these are the fruit of God's work in me, and my ex-boyfriend tried to take all of these away from me and make me feel worthless no matter how much I tried staying in a place of humility as to not upset him. It got to a point I was afraid of sharing good news with him, because I knew he'd humiliate me.
Please pray intensely that somehow justice gets to be made by God, I feel I cannot move on after being talked to as if I was six years old, discarded like trash and blamed for all of his mistakes. He told me as I was crying (and he was laughing) "that's life! pain will help you grow!", once again, speaking to me as if he was an angel and his sexual assault and mockery was a calculated blessing he bestowed upon me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
