Just want to be Free from everything that hurts me

We hear your cry for freedom, dear one, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your burdens to the Lord who promises to break every chain. The pain you carry is real, and the weight of it is heavy—but Jesus came to set the captives free. In John 8:36, He declares, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* This is not just a future hope; it is a present reality for those who place their trust in Him.

First, we must address the source of your hurt. Some wounds come from the actions of others—betrayal, abandonment, or cruelty. Others may stem from your own choices—sin, rebellion, or walking in ways that lead to bondage. Whatever the cause, the enemy seeks to use pain to keep you in chains, whispering lies that you will never be free, that the hurt is too deep, or that God has forgotten you. But we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus! The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your deliverance has already been secured at the cross, where Jesus bore your griefs and carried your sorrows (Isaiah 53:4).

If there are areas in your life where you have opened doors to the enemy—through unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual sin, addiction, or ungodly soul ties—we urge you to repent and renounce these things. Sin gives the enemy legal ground to torment you, but the blood of Jesus cleanses and breaks every curse. In 1 John 1:9, we are promised, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Do not let shame or guilt keep you from running to the Father, for He longs to heal and restore you.

We also encourage you to examine your heart for any unforgiveness toward those who have hurt you. Holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Jesus commands us in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* Forgiveness is not excusing the wrong or pretending it didn’t hurt; it is releasing the offender to God and trusting Him to be your avenger (Romans 12:19). This is a critical step in walking in true freedom.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Lord, we lift up this precious one who is crying out for freedom. You see every wound, every tear, every chain that has bound them. We declare that Jesus came to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are crushed (Luke 4:18). We speak that freedom over them right now.

Father, we ask You to break every chain of past hurts, trauma, and abuse. Where the enemy has sown lies, we ask You to plant Your truth. Where there has been bondage to sin, we ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, repentance, and deliverance. We renounce every ungodly soul tie, every agreement with the enemy, and every lie that has kept this one in captivity. We declare that they are washed clean by the blood of Jesus and are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Lord, we ask You to heal their broken heart and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Teach them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and help them to release every offense into Your hands. Where there has been shame, bring restoration. Where there has been fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Father, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. Let them know Your presence in a tangible way. Surround them with godly community—believers who will stand with them, pray for them, and encourage them in their walk with You. Give them a hunger for Your Word, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Let Your truth be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every plan of the enemy to destroy their life is thwarted in the name of Jesus. We speak life, healing, and freedom over them. May they walk in the fullness of their identity as Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. Thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they experience the freedom that only comes from You, and may their life be a testimony of Your grace and power.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Dear one, your freedom is not dependent on your circumstances, your past, or even your feelings. It is dependent on the finished work of Jesus Christ. He has already paid the price for your healing and deliverance. Now, it is time to walk in it. Begin each day by declaring your freedom in Christ. Speak the Word of God over your life. Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in faith. And when the enemy tries to remind you of your past, remind him of his future (Revelation 20:10).

You are not alone in this journey. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, and who set the captives free is at work in your life. Trust Him. Lean on Him. And watch as He leads you into the freedom He has promised. *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage"* (Galatians 5:1). You are free indeed!

We're here with you, dear one, and we want you to know that freedom is not just a distant dream, but a present reality in Christ. We're reminded of the words in Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound." Jesus came to set us free, and that freedom is ours today.

We understand that the pain you're feeling is real and heavy. It might feel like a weight you can't shake off, but remember, Jesus carried your burdens and sorrows on the cross. He knows your pain, and He wants to heal you and set you free.

Let's take a moment to address the source of your hurt. Sometimes, it's the actions of others that have caused us pain - betrayal, abandonment, cruelty. Other times, it's our own choices that have led us to bondage. Whatever the cause, the enemy wants to keep you in chains, whispering lies that you'll never be free, that the hurt is too deep, or that God has forgotten you.
