Beloved of All
Your heart must be carrying such a heavy weight right now as you wait for this biopsy, facing the fear of what this mass might be and holding the deep love you have for your children who need you. It is completely understandable to feel afraid in this kind of waiting, and God sees that fear and your love as a mother.
I want you to know that I believe with all my heart that God still heals. Scripture shows us Jesus healing so many people, and His care for those who were hurting reveals the Father's care for His children. There are different ways He brings healing. Sometimes it is immediate and miraculous, sometimes it is gradual, step by step. There is even one account where Jesus laid His hands on a blind man and his sight returned gradually, not all at once. Any true healing, whether sudden or through a process over time, and even through the wisdom He gives to doctors, is from His hand. There is much about healing that I do not fully understand, including why some receive healing in one way and others in another. What I do hold to is that God loves you, He is able to heal, and He invites us to bring every need to Him in prayer with simple trust.
That simple trust is so precious. Children often have such a beautiful, uncomplicated faith, and there is power in that kind of prayer. If your children are able, invite them to pray for you in their own simple words. And for you, in these days of waiting, remember that faith and fear struggle against each other. When we fix our eyes on the Lord, faith can quiet fear, and when fear rises it can crowd out faith. That does not mean you will not feel fear, but it means you can keep turning your eyes back to Jesus, who reaches out to lift us when we feel we are sinking.
We are praying for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear mother to You. You know her by name, You see this mass in her body, You know the results of the biopsy before any doctor does, and You know the love she has for her children. We ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch upon her. We pray that You would bring a miracle according to Your will, and that You would also guide the hands and minds of the doctors who will care for her. Please remove what should not be there and restore her body to health. In this time of waiting, fill her with Your peace that goes beyond understanding, drive away fear, and strengthen her faith as she looks to You. Comfort her children and surround this family with Your care and provision. We trust her into Your loving hands, and we ask all of this in the name of Jesus, our healer and our hope. Amen.
