Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me to get a job. I'm ###, unmarried, no children. I gave my life to God ### years ago. Everything in my life was straightened out; I didn't smoke or drink, etc. I went to church about ### times a week if not more. But in all this time, I have barely worked in the last ### years. I lost my home and have been living in all kinds of different places, shared houses with a total of about ### men plus women, some on drugs, gay, Muslims, people with mental health problems, prostitutes, thieves, even murderers. I've been robbed multiple times, threatened with hammers and glasses, all kinds of things, mostly by men. And all I need to do is go work. I apply for jobs all the time. I even had a work coach, and he said my CV is excellent and asked if I did it myself. I've prayed and fasted multiple times, but no job. Now I am depressed, fallen back into sin, debt, and all I need is a job. I am a singer and songwriter, and many prophets have said God wants to use me, and I am going to be famous, so I don't need a job. But my spirit is crushed sometimes; I don't get out of bed, and my life doesn't glorify God anymore. I want a stable, good life. So please pray for me and please also pray for my family's salvation and my mother's lungs. Thank you and God bless you.

We understand that you are seeking a job and have been going through immense trials. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. We note that you have not mentioned Jesus or His Name in your request. Only by His name can we be saved. As it is written, In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. Ephesians 1:7 WEB.

We want to encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord Jesus, even in this difficult time. Remember that God has a plan and a purpose for you, and He has not forgotten you. It is written, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

Regarding your living situation, we want to remind you to be mindful of the company you keep. It is written, Don't be deceived: Evil companionships corrupt good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB. While it is important to show compassion and love to all people, regardless of their background or struggles, it is also crucial to surround yourself with godly influences that will encourage you in your walk with Christ (as well as an example of the kind of spouse to seek in courtship).

We also want to address the idea that you don't need a job because you will become famous. While it is true that God has a plan for your life and may use your talents for His glory, it is also important to remain humble and diligent in your work. It is written, For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45 WEB. We encourage you to continue seeking employment and trusting in God's provision.

Regarding your struggles with depression and sin, we want to remind you to take heart. It is written, For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace. Romans 6:14 WEB. Turn to God in your struggles, and He will give you the strength to overcome.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. We pray for Your child, that You would open up a door for employment that no man can shut. Give comfort and peace in the wait. Help to align thoughts and actions with the word of God. We pray for complete healing for their mother's lungs. A hedge of protection be placed around this family. We pray for their salvation, that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We pray for strength to overcome depression and sin, and that they would be filled with the joy of the Lord. We ask all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord and trusting in His provision. He has not forgotten you, and He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Stand firm in your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good. It is written, Don't be weary in doing what is right, for in due season you will reap, if you don't faint. Galatians 6:9 WEB.

We are also praying for your family's salvation and your mother's lungs. Trust that God is working in their lives, even if you cannot see it yet.

And, finally, we leave you with this reminder: And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB. Keep trusting in God, and know that He is working all things together for your good and His glory.

We're right there with you, sister. We know the struggle of feeling stuck and down, especially when it feels like doors just won't open. But remember, God sees you. He knows your heart, your talents, and your needs. He's got a plan, and it's a good one (Jeremiah 29:11).

We've been where you are, living in places we wouldn't choose, sharing spaces with people from all walks of life. It's tough, but it's also an opportunity to love like Jesus. He didn't shy away from the marginalized, and neither should we. But let's also be wise, like the ant in Proverbs 6:6, and make sure we're not compromising our walk with God in the process.

We hear your heart for your family's salvation and your mom's healing. Let's claim those promises together. "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32). Let's trust that God is a good Father who loves to give good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11).

Keep applying for jobs, keep singing, keep writing. Your talents are a gift from God, and He wants to use them. But also, let's be humble and diligent in whatever work we do, as if we're doing it for the Lord (Colossians 3:23-24).

We're praying for you, sister. For a job, for peace, for healing, for salvation. We're claiming these promises with you: "Delight yourself in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in him; and he will do it" (Psalm 37:4-5). Keep trusting, keep hoping, keep praying. You're not alone. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

*Heavenly Father,*

We lift up **###** to You—Your child who loves You, who turned their life over to You **###** years ago and walked in obedience, leaving behind old ways. Yet in this season, they have faced relentless trials: instability, unsafe living conditions, financial hardship, and the crushing weight of unmet hopes. Lord, You see their exhaustion, their depression, and the way their spirit has faltered. But Your Word in **Psalm 34:18 (ESV)** declares:

*"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."*

Father, draw near to **###** now. Renew their strength as You promised in **Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)**:

*"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."*

We ask for *divine favor* in their job search. Open doors no man can shut (**Revelation 3:8**), and let employers recognize their skills. Silence every voice of discouragement, and remind them that *You are their Provider* (**Philippians 4:19**). Even as they wait for the fulfillment of prophetic words over their gifts, sustain them with practical work so they may live stably and honor You.

We also pray for their family’s salvation—especially their mother’s healing. By the stripes of Jesus (**1 Peter 2:24**), restore her lungs and draw her heart to You. Break every chain of sin and unbelief in their household.

Lord, lift **###** out of despair. Rekindle their passion for You, and let their life again reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ mighty name, *Amen.*

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
