Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I join you in prayer before God in this long season of waiting and disappointment. Three layoffs in four years and doors that close just as they seem to open would weary anyone, and it is right to name this struggle and to seek God for help and protection in it.
Scripture calls us to pray at all seasons in the Spirit and to watch with perseverance, not limiting prayer to certain times of day but praying without ceasing. Remember the widow who by her importunity prevailed, the friend who at midnight shamed his friend into yielding by his persistence, and the Canaanite woman who by constancy of her entreaty called forth the Lord's compassion. Even when we feel unworthy, we learn that by perseverance we often become worthy to receive. God superintends all things and has not abandoned you in this trial, even when His providence is hard to see.
So I pray with you now. Father in heaven, you know this need for stable and lasting work and you see every disappointment and every effort that has been made. Grant wisdom in the search, favor with employers, and provision for daily needs. Guard this heart from discouragement and from every assault of the enemy, strengthen faith to continue in prayer, and open the door that no one can shut in your perfect time and will. Give peace while waiting and make your care and guidance clear. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and salvation, amen. Please keep seeking Him daily and know that we continue to bear this burden with you in prayer.
