Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest and heavy burden has been heard, and I thank you for sharing it so openly. Three years without steady work while carrying the full weight of providing for your children and keeping a home is an immense trial, and it is right to bring the anxiety over bills, creditors, and utilities directly to the Lord.
Scripture teaches that God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of our sins and for our access to Him, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. There is no other way to be cleansed or to have guilt removed, and no other mediator we need. Because Jesus has opened the way, you do not need to go through anyone else to be heard. You can come boldly and directly to the throne of grace yourself, to make your requests known to the Father in Jesus name, and the Spirit bears witness that this access is real. That is the foundation for every other prayer, including the prayer for daily provision.
The Bible also shows that God leaves room for Himself to work even when a situation looks hopeless to us. Under the old law there was a detailed instruction for what to do when a leper was cleansed, though leprosy was considered incurable. God wrote the law in a way that made provision for His own power to heal. He did not box Himself in. In the same way, do not box God in now. What is impossible with human effort is possible with Him. He is able to provide work, to move the hearts of those who interview you, and to supply what you need for your home and utilities from sources you expect and from sources you do not expect. It is right to ask Him for favor, for open doors, and for a miracle of provision today, while also trusting His wisdom in how and when He answers.
You also carry a high and holy calling as a mother. The Scriptures command children to honor father and mother, and they speak often of the deep influence a mother has, especially in the early training of a child. A mother and father together are meant to shape a child, and a godly mother can have a powerful influence for good that lasts a lifetime. God sees your faithfulness in that role and the weariness that comes with it. Jesus Himself taught that those who do the will of God are His family, His brothers and sisters and mothers. Through faith in Christ you are not alone in this struggle. You are joined to the family of God, bonded together with others through your common relationship with Him.
There is no work or combination of works you can do to earn salvation or to earn God's love. Salvation is beyond our own capacity and comes only as a gift through Jesus. In the same way, your provision does not come because you have earned it by striving, but because your Father cares for you and your children. That frees you to keep doing what is right, to seek honest work, to steward what you have, to be truthful with creditors where you can, and to rest your heart in His care rather than in fear.
I am praying for you now, that the Lord would grant you favor in the interviews you have attended, that He would open a suitable job for you soon, that He would restrain the pressure of creditors, preserve your home, and provide the payment needed for your home and utilities. I pray He would supply daily bread, give you wisdom for each decision, strengthen you as you nurture your children, and above all draw you closer to Jesus, in whom alone we have forgiveness, peace, and confident access to God.
