We hear your heart and we are carrying this burden with you before the Lord, for we know how heavy these months of unemployment and waiting have become and how the stress and anxiety can even make the body feel sick. We are praying for you and standing with you for God's provision and peace in this difficult season.
The Word reminds us to bring every worry to our Father, for He cares deeply for us and He knows our needs. We are encouraged by the promise in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Our Lord also teaches us in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And we cling to the assurance in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. He also reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We pray together for you now. Father, in Jesus' name we lift up our brother or sister who has been without work for three months and is feeling the weight of stress and anxiety. Lord, You see every application sent, every door that has not opened, and every anxious thought. We ask You to provide the right job according to Your will, a place where this dear one can use the gifts You have given, provide for daily needs, and give You glory. We pray for Your peace to guard heart and mind and to calm the anxiety that is causing sickness, and we ask for healing and strength for body and spirit. Help our friend to cast every burden on You, to rest in Your care, and to trust that You will sustain and never forsake those who seek You. Lead and open the door that no man can shut in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Him first each day, bringing your needs to Him with thanksgiving even while you continue to diligently apply and do what you can with excellence. Allow fellow believers, your church family, and trusted counsel to walk with you, and care for your health with rest, prayer, and time in the Word, remembering Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. God is your provider and He is faithful even when answers seem delayed.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. In Romans 10:9 we read, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. When we pray in His name, we come to the Father with confidence that He hears us. We are praying that you will know the nearness of Christ in this season and the hope that comes only through Him.
