Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we are praying with you in this anxious time. It is understandable to feel fear and worry after making mistakes at work and facing the possibility of losing your job, and God sees both your concern and your desire to do what is right.
Scripture reminds us that God is present everywhere and sees all that we do, and that He calls us to work with diligence and honesty as serving Him. When we have fallen short, the right path is to acknowledge it humbly, take responsibility where we can make things right, and commit ourselves to faithful, careful work going forward. At the same time we are told not to be consumed by anxiety, but to bring our requests to God with prayer and thanksgiving, trusting Him to give a peace that guards our hearts.
We pray that God will calm your anxiety and replace fear with trust in His care and provision. We ask Him to grant you wisdom and steadiness in your work, to help you correct what can be corrected, to speak and act with integrity before your employer and coworkers, and to give you favor as you seek to be faithful in your duties. We also pray that whatever the outcome at your workplace, you will know that your security ultimately rests in Him, who works in us to will and to do what is good, and who calls us to fear Him above all and to rest in His mercy.
Father, we lift up this need to You. Please grant peace to this troubled heart, take away overwhelming anxiety, and help all things to be well according to Your good will. Give strength to work diligently, humility to learn from mistakes, and grace to trust You for daily provision and for the future. May Your presence be a comfort and Your guidance be clear in the days ahead. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
