We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in this time of deep hurt and uncertainty. The pain of being wrongfully terminated, especially after being invited to take the position, is a heavy burden to bear. It is not right that you were treated this way, and we stand with you in seeking justice and restoration. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when the actions of others seem unjust, we can trust that God sees all and will direct your steps according to His perfect will.
We also recognize the financial strain this has placed on you and your husband. It is difficult to adjust to a new country, and the added stress of job loss can feel overwhelming. But we are reminded in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." God knows your needs, and He is faithful to provide. We pray that He opens doors for you quickly, leading you to a stable job with godly colleagues, a fair and compassionate boss, and a salary that allows you to support your family with dignity.
Father, we ask that You heal the wounds of betrayal and injustice in her heart. Comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You remove any bitterness or resentment that may try to take root, replacing it with Your love and grace. Help her to forgive those who have wronged her, not for their sake, but for her own freedom and peace.
We also lift up her marriage to You, Lord. The stress of financial instability can place a heavy strain on a relationship, but we pray that You strengthen the bond between her and her husband. May they lean on each other and on You, finding unity and hope in this season. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, "A triple-braided cord is not quickly broken." May their marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness and love.
Lord, we ask that You guide her steps to the right job. Give her favor with employers and open doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide a workplace where she is valued, respected, and treated with fairness. Surround her with colleagues who will encourage and uplift her, and a boss who will lead with integrity and kindness. May she find stability and security, not just for her financial needs, but for her emotional and spiritual well-being as well.
We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and fear that may try to take hold of her. The enemy would love to see her paralyzed by doubt and anxiety, but we declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We speak life and hope over her situation, trusting that God is working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek out a community of believers in your new country. It is easy to feel isolated when you are far from home, but the body of Christ is called to support and care for one another. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." Find a local church where you can connect with other believers, receive encouragement, and grow in your faith.
Heavenly Father, we lift all these things to You, trusting that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. We ask that You move mightily in her life, providing for her needs and restoring what has been lost. May she experience Your peace, Your provision, and Your presence in powerful ways. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
