We join you in lifting this request before the Lord, trusting in His perfect will for your career and provision. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We also recall Jeremiah 29:11, where God declares, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Your trust in Him for favor and success is well-placed, for He is the one who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
We do notice, however, that your request does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that we are saved, and it is through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Let us always remember to come before God in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
As you prepare for these interviews, we encourage you to seek wisdom from above, as James 1:5 instructs: *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Let your speech be seasoned with grace, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart as you speak with confidence and humility (Colossians 4:6).
We also pray that you will walk in integrity and excellence, for the Lord honors those who diligently seek to glorify Him in all they do. Remember the words of Colossians 3:23-24: *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister as they prepare for these upcoming job interviews. Lord, You are the God of all provision, and we ask that You grant them favor in the sight of those conducting the interviews. Fill them with Your wisdom, Lord, so that their answers may be clear, insightful, and aligned with Your will. Let them speak with confidence, knowing that You have equipped them for this moment.
Father, we ask that You go before them and prepare the way. Soften the hearts of the interviewers and let them see the skills, dedication, and integrity You have placed within our brother/sister. Lord, if it is Your will, open the door for a job offer that aligns with Your perfect plan for their life. May this opportunity bring glory to Your name and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or self-doubt that may try to rise up in their heart. Instead, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that You have a good plan for their future.
Lord, we also pray that through this process, our brother/sister will continue to seek You first and trust in Your timing. Remind them that their worth and identity are found in You alone, not in the outcome of these interviews. May they walk in faith, knowing that You are their Provider and Sustain-er.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word as you prepare. Trust that He is with you every step of the way, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Keep us updated on how the Lord moves in this situation, and we will continue to lift you up in prayer.
