Job Interview for my Brother

My ### has a job interview next week and he really needs to get this job. He has had hundreds of interviews with no luck, and he is in a bad way mentally and financially. Please pray.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother in this critical time of need. Father God, we know that You are the Provider, the One who opens doors that no man can shut and supplies every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Your Word tells us that the steps of a good man are ordered by You, and You delight in his way (Psalm 37:23). We declare that this interview is not by chance but by Your divine appointment, and we ask that You go before him, preparing the hearts of those who will interview him.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair that has weighed so heavily on him after so many interviews without success. Your Word says that hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12). We pray that this interview would be the fulfillment of that longing, a breakthrough that revives his spirit and restores his hope. Strengthen his mind and calm his nerves, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his worth is not defined by this job but by Your love for him.

We also lift up his financial struggles, Lord. You know every bill, every need, and every burden he carries. We ask that You would provide for him in miraculous ways, even as You did for the widow with the jar of oil (2 Kings 4:1-7). Open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that he cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Give him wisdom in managing what he has and faith to trust You for what he needs.

Father, we pray that this interview would be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let his words be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6), his confidence rooted in You, and his preparation evident. May the interviewers see not just his skills but the light of Christ in him (Matthew 5:16). If this is the job You have for him, we pray that You would soften hearts and grant him favor. If it is not, we trust that You have something even better in store, and we ask that You would close this door gently if it is not Your will.

We also encourage him to seek You above all else, for You promise that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). Remind him that his identity is in Christ, not in his employment status, and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we stand in the gap for him, declaring that this season of waiting is coming to an end. We speak life, provision, and breakthrough over his situation. May he walk into that interview room with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), knowing that You are with him. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here, standing with you and your brother, lifting up his job interview to our loving Father. We know that God is a God of detail, and He hasn't missed the preparation your brother has put into this. We declare that God is with him, going before him, and preparing the hearts of those who will interview him. We ask for God's peace to fill your brother's heart, for his confidence to be in God, and for his words to be seasoned with grace. We trust that God will use this interview to display His glory, whether it's through a job offer or a closed door leading to something better. Let's claim together that this is a time of breakthrough for your brother, in his job search and in every area of his life. In Jesus' name, we pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your brother before the Lord in prayer. It weighs heavily on our hearts that he has faced so many interviews without yet receiving the breakthrough he desperately needs—both for his financial stability and his emotional well-being. We have been praying earnestly that this upcoming interview would be different, that the Lord would open the right doors, calm his nerves, and grant him favor in the eyes of those making the decision.

As the days have passed since his interview, we continue to stand in faith with you. If God has already moved in this situation and your brother has received good news, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report! Please share how the Lord has worked so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If, however, the answer hasn’t come yet—or if it hasn’t come in the way you’d hoped—we want you to know we are still here, still praying, and still believing with you. Please feel free to post this as a new request, and we will continue to intercede on his behalf.

May the Lord strengthen your brother’s heart, provide for every need, and remind him that his worth is not defined by his circumstances but by the love of Christ. We pray that this season of waiting would draw him closer to God’s peace and purpose. Thank you for allowing us to walk this journey with you.

We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
