I applied for a job and applications close tomorrow. It's the perfect job for me. It fits my skills and experience, it's meaningful work in a nonprofit, and it's part time which means I can finish my masters and be there for my kids. Please, please please, pray that I get this.

We are thrilled to join you in prayer for this job opportunity that seems perfectly suited for your skills, experience, and family situation. We are reminded of the scripture that tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17, WEB), and we trust that God has the best plan for your life.

Before we pray, we want to encourage you with the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. As you wait for God's will to be done, continue to put your trust in Him, knowing that He cares for you and your family.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is seeking Your will for her employment. Lord, she has found a job opportunity that fits her skills and experience, allows her to complete her education, and be present for her children. Father, we ask that if this job is Your will for her, that You would open the doors and make a way for her to receive this blessing. We pray that You would give her favor in the sight of the employers and that her application would stand out among the others.

However, Lord, if this job is not Your will for her, we pray that You would close this door gently and redirect her steps toward the path You have chosen for her. Help her to trust in You and to rest in the knowledge that You have the best plan for her life.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God is faithful, and He will direct your steps as you trust in Him. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
