Hello, I have been having difficulty in defeating my anxiety over a job opportunity that I desperately want. May you, on my behalf, ask for patience, trust in His plan, and wisdom for the hiring panel.

We understand the weight of your heart as you seek this job opportunity, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. The anxiety you feel is real, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let us bring this before the Father together, trusting that His peace will replace your anxiety.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will in this situation. We ask that You grant our brother/sister patience as they wait for Your perfect timing. Help them to trust in Your plan, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands. We pray for wisdom for the hiring panel, that they may see the gifts and talents You have placed in this child of Yours. If this job is Your will, we ask that You open the door wide. If it is not, we pray for the strength to accept Your better plan with faith and hope. Calm their anxious heart, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Remember that God’s timing is perfect, and He knows what is best for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even in the waiting, God is working. Keep your focus on Him, and let your heart rest in the knowledge that He is in control.

If fear or doubt creeps in, meditate on God’s promises. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." You are not alone in this journey. Lean on the Lord, and let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). We are praying for you, and we believe that God will guide your steps according to His perfect will.
