Job and workplace persecution

Ethaugate

Disciple of Prayer
My work mates are persecuting me because they want my position at my work place. I need God to intervene and end this persecution.

We understand how deeply painful and exhausting it is to face persecution in the workplace, especially when it stems from jealousy or selfish ambition. The Bible reminds us that such trials, while difficult, are not uncommon for those who walk in righteousness. In fact, Jesus Himself warned us, *"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven"* (Matthew 5:10-12, WEB). Your suffering is not unseen by God, and He promises to reward those who endure faithfully.

Yet we also recognize the very real emotional and spiritual toll this takes. The Psalms give voice to such distress: *"Consider my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with cruel hatred. Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you"* (Psalm 25:19-20, WEB). You are not alone in this—God is your refuge, and He will fight for you. The apostle Peter encourages us, *"Don’t be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear"* (1 Peter 3:14-15, WEB). Your response to this persecution can be a powerful testimony of God’s grace and strength in your life.

At the same time, we must examine our own hearts. Are there ways you may have unintentionally provoked this jealousy? Not to place blame, but to ensure we are walking in wisdom and humility. Proverbs 16:7 tells us, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* Seek the Lord’s wisdom in how to conduct yourself in this season. Perhaps there are opportunities to extend grace, to bless those who persecute you (Romans 12:14), or to demonstrate such excellence in your work that their accusations fall flat. *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21, WEB).

If this persecution is rooted in ungodly ambition from your coworkers, remember that *"the wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming"* (Psalm 37:12-13, WEB). Their schemes will not ultimately succeed if you trust in the Lord. He is the one who promotes and demotes (Psalm 75:6-7), and no one can take from you what He has ordained for you.

We also urge you to document any instances of harassment or unfair treatment, following your workplace’s protocols for reporting such behavior. God often works through the systems and authorities He has established (Romans 13:1-2). But even as you take practical steps, keep your focus on Him. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB).

Most importantly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we must gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father. *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have boldness to ask and receive.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child who is enduring persecution in the workplace. Lord, You see the cruelty and jealousy directed against them, and You know the weight of their burden. We ask You to intervene mightily in this situation. Shut the mouths of those who speak against them, and frustrate the plans of those who seek to harm them. *"Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and shamed who delight in my harm"* (Psalm 40:14, WEB).

Father, we pray for supernatural protection over this believer. Guard their heart from bitterness, their mind from anxiety, and their spirit from discouragement. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their vindicator. *"Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB).

Lord, if there is any way this persecution can be turned for Your glory, we pray for it. Give them wisdom to navigate this season with grace and integrity. If it is Your will, open doors for them to be promoted or moved to a place of favor where their gifts are recognized and valued. But even if the persecution continues, strengthen them to endure as more than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8:37).

We rebuke every spirit of jealousy, strife, and wickedness operating in that workplace. Let Your holy fire consume every scheme of the enemy, and let Your justice prevail. *"The Lord executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed"* (Psalm 103:6, WEB).

Finally, Father, we pray that this trial will draw them closer to You. Let them experience Your presence in a deeper way, and let their testimony be a light to others. May their coworkers see Christ in them and be convicted of their sin. *"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16, WEB).

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who endured persecution for our sake and now intercedes for us at Your right hand. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will not allow this trial to be wasted. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in the faith.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap. We know it's tough, but remember, Jesus promised us in John 16:33, "In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." He's got this, and He's got you.

Let's claim these verses together, okay?

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, and though the mountains tremble at its swelling." (Psalm 46:1-3)

"For the Lord will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it." (Psalm 94:14-15)

Let's trust that God is working in this situation, even if we can't see it yet. Let's keep our hearts and minds focused on Him, and let's keep praying. We're in this together, and we believe in the power of prayer. Keep strong, and know that you're not alone. We're right here with you, praying in Jesus' name.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the weight of your struggle at work, and we have carried it before the Lord with heavy hearts. It has been our sincere prayer that He would shield you from unjust treatment, soften the hearts of those who oppose you, and reveal His justice in this difficult season. The enemy would love to see division and strife take root, but we have asked God to turn every scheme of the enemy into a testimony of His faithfulness.

We continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that the Lord sees every unfair word, every attempt to undermine you, and every moment of discouragement. We’ve asked Him to give you wisdom in how to respond, grace to walk in love even when it’s hard, and favor that only He can provide. If God has already moved in this situation—whether by changing hearts, opening new doors, or giving you unexpected peace—we would love to hear how He has worked! Your praise report could encourage so many others who are facing similar battles.

If, however, the persecution persists or the situation feels unresolved, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to lifting you up in prayer until you see God’s deliverance. You are not alone in this, and we believe the Lord is fighting for you even now. May He strengthen you, guide you, and remind you of His promises as you press into Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time at your workplace. It’s not easy facing persecution, especially when it comes from those around you who may be driven by jealousy or ambition. We have lifted your request before the Lord, asking Him to intervene, bring justice, and shield you from the schemes of those who seek to harm you. We prayed that God would give you wisdom in how to respond, strength to endure, and peace that surpasses all understanding as you navigate this trial.

If God has moved in this situation—whether by changing hearts, opening doors, or providing a way out—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the persecution continues and you still feel the weight of this battle, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Lord to bring His light into this darkness and to turn what the enemy meant for harm into something that glorifies Him.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, fill you with His courage, and remind you that you are never alone in this fight. We will keep praying that He surrounds you with His favor, exposes any unrighteousness, and gives you the grace to walk in His victory. In Jesus’ Name, we stand with you.
