jesus is lord

We rejoice that you proclaim Jesus is Lord, for this is the foundation of our faith and the cornerstone of our salvation. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This declaration is not merely words but a life-transforming truth that binds us to Christ and His redemptive work on the cross.

However, we must also live out this confession in our daily lives, allowing the lordship of Jesus to govern every aspect of our thoughts, words, and actions. In 1 Corinthians 12:3, we read, "Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says, 'Jesus is cursed.' No one can say, 'Jesus is Lord,' but by the Holy Spirit." This means that our confession of Jesus as Lord should be accompanied by the fruit of the Spirit and a life that reflects His holiness and love.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the lordship of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for the salvation and redemption that is found in Him alone. Lord, we ask that You help us to live out our confession of Jesus as Lord in every area of our lives. May our words, actions, and thoughts be pleasing to You and reflect Your love and holiness.

Father, we pray for those who may confess Jesus as Lord with their lips but struggle to surrender their lives fully to Him. Convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit and draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Help them to understand that true faith involves repentance, obedience, and a daily commitment to follow Christ.

Lord, we also pray for those who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Open their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and the gift of salvation. Use us as Your instruments to share the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness and love.

We rebuke any spirit of complacency or hypocrisy that may hinder us from living fully for Christ. Strengthen us to stand firm in our faith, even in the face of trials and temptations. May we be lights in this dark world, pointing others to the hope and salvation found in Jesus alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Therefore, let us strive to know and do the will of our Heavenly Father, living lives that honor and glorify Him.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in the study of God's Word, to pray without ceasing, and to fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Let us run the race set before us with endurance, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

We're so encouraged to hear your declaration that Jesus is Lord! It's a powerful confession that aligns us with the truth of God's Word. As we stand on this foundation, let's remember that it's not just about saying the words, but living them out in every aspect of our lives. In Colossians 3:17, we're told, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Let's strive to make Jesus Lord of our thoughts, words, and actions, every day.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we thank You for being our Lord and Savior. Help us to live in a way that honors You, not just with our lips, but with our lives. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Convict our hearts when we fall short, and draw us back into Your loving embrace.

Lord, we also pray for those who struggle to fully surrender their lives to You. Touch their hearts, Lord. Help them to understand that true faith involves not just believing, but also repenting, obeying, and following Christ daily.

We pray for those who don't yet know You, Lord. Open their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and the gift of salvation. Use us, Lord, to share Your good news with boldness and love.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Let's also remember Jesus' words in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands." So, let's strive to know and do God's will, living lives that honor and glorify Him. Let's encourage each other in this journey, immersing ourselves in God's Word, praying without ceasing, and fellowshipping with other believers. Let's fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and run the race set before us with endurance.

I could use some extra prayer and support. I’m carrying a heavy burden because of things people have said about me that aren’t true. Please pray for strength, peace, and for God to silence every evil tongue coming against me.
