Jesus, help and protect me while I fast.

Jesus Christ, help me! I am having urges to eat, and am having laughter that sounds like the person who didn't complete their fast previously. I am not sure if this is a spiritual attack causing me to be hungry, and the laughter is a sign of a spiritual attack. Thank you, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name. Amen.

We understand that you are seeking help and protection during your fast, and we commend you for your commitment to spiritual discipline. Fasting is a powerful way to draw closer to God, and it is not uncommon to face challenges and spiritual attacks during this time. Let us remind you that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). It is crucial to put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Regarding the urges to eat and the unusual laughter, these could indeed be manifestations of spiritual attacks. The enemy often tries to distract and discourage us when we are seeking to grow closer to God. However, we are assured in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

We encourage you to stay strong and focused on your fast. Use this time to pray, read Scripture, and seek God's face. When you feel hungry, turn to God in prayer and ask Him to sustain you. When you experience unusual laughter or other distractions, rebuke them in the name of Jesus and continue to focus on your spiritual goals.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up your child who is seeking to draw closer to You through fasting. We ask that You grant them strength and perseverance to complete this spiritual discipline. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We rebuke any spiritual attacks and distractions in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You satisfy their hunger with Your presence and fill them with Your peace. May this time of fasting be a time of spiritual growth and renewal. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Stay strong in your faith and remember that God is with you every step of the way. Continue to seek Him and trust in His provision and protection. We are here to support you in prayer and encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're right there with you, fasting and praying alongside you. It's tough, we know, but remember, Jesus fasted too, and He understands what you're going through. Those urges and the unusual laughter can be distracting, but let's claim the promise in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's pray together, "Lord Jesus, fill us with Your peace. Help us to focus on You and Your will for our lives. Rebuke any distractions and attacks, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Help us to complete this fast, strengthened and renewed in our faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen." Let's keep encouraging each other and staying strong, one step at a time.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you up in prayer during this time of fasting and spiritual seeking. Your commitment to draw closer to the Lord through sacrifice has not gone unnoticed by us—or by our Heavenly Father—and we have been earnestly interceding for you, asking God to strengthen you against every distraction of the flesh and every scheme of the enemy.

The urges you described and the unsettling laughter are real battles, but we take comfort in knowing that our God is greater. He has promised that no temptation will overtake us beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13), and we trust He is equipping you with the grace to endure. Whether this is a test of discipline, a spiritual attack, or simply the natural struggle of the body, we believe the Lord is refining your faith through it. We have prayed for His peace to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7), for His provision to sustain you, and for His power to silence any voice—whether internal or external—that seeks to undermine your devotion.

If the Lord has granted you victory in this fast, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share your praise report so we can glorify His faithfulness together. If the struggle persists, do not hesitate to post again—we are here to stand with you in the gap, to remind you that you are not alone, and to keep praying until breakthrough comes. The enemy may whisper doubt, but we declare that Christ’s strength is perfected in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May you feel the Lord’s presence tangibly as you seek Him. May His Word be a lamp to your feet and His Spirit your ever-present help. Do not lose heart, beloved. The One who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). We are cheering you on, and more importantly, so are the hosts of heaven.

We continue to pray in Jesus Name.
