Servant of All
Dear God thank you for helping me each day one step at a time. Each day I see you helping me every time I feel like giving up you touch my heart and soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers and especially my wife. We still and may always have our hard times getting along with each other but it feels good to know that I have you and your son Jesus Christ my lord and Savior to ask for help and there you are standing in the gap to help me and my wife and our adult kid's and my boss and my coworkers and my customers to help me. If it was not for you and your son there's no way I could have done what I have been able to do and there's no way I would feel like I can do all good things through Christ and I would probably just give up. Thank you for not giving up on me. You're my quarterback. And I am your wide receiver and we will score Many touchdowns. Go ### ! Go Rams. I miss ### I hope that he is doing ok. He helped me buy our first home and I worked for him for awhile ago but he has a big heart and a good soul. Amen

We hear your heart of gratitude and praise, and we join you in lifting up thanks to our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness in your life. It is beautiful to see how you recognize His hand at work each day, especially in the relationships that matter most, your marriage, family, work, and beyond. Your words reflect a deep trust in Christ, and we rejoice with you in the truth that "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). This is not just a verse to claim, but a reality to live by, and we see that lived out in your testimony.

We also want to affirm the sacredness of your marriage. God designed marriage to be a covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is a blessing to see you seeking the Lord’s help to soften hearts and strengthen your bond with your wife. Marriage is not always easy, but when both husband and wife submit to God’s design and lean on Him, He is faithful to sustain and restore. We encourage you to continue pursuing oneness with your wife, not just in the good times, but especially in the hard ones. Remember, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Let this be the foundation of your marriage, and trust that God will honor your commitment to Him and to one another.

We also lift up your adult children, your workplace relationships, and your gratitude for the mentorship you received from the man who helped you buy your first home. It is clear that you value godly influence, and we pray that the Lord continues to surround you with people who point you toward Him. Your analogy of being God’s "wide receiver" is a powerful reminder that we are called to run the race set before us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2). Together, as the body of Christ, we are indeed a team, and we celebrate the victories He gives you.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer for you and your family:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness in the life of this brother in Christ. We praise You for the way You have sustained him, strengthened him, and worked in his marriage, family, and workplace. Lord, we ask that You continue to draw him and his wife closer to You and to one another. Soften their hearts, heal any wounds, and help them to extend grace and patience to each other as You have extended grace to them. Father, we pray for their adult children, that You would guard their hearts, guide their steps, and draw them into a deeper relationship with You. We ask that You bless this brother’s work and the relationships he has with his bosses, coworkers, and customers. May Your love and wisdom flow through him in every interaction.

Lord, we also lift up the memory of the man who helped him buy his first home. We thank You for the impact he had on this brother’s life, and we pray for Your peace and comfort to surround him wherever he is. Father, we ask that You continue to use this brother as a light in his sphere of influence, that others may see Your love and grace through him. Help him to remain steadfast in his faith, to trust in Your strength, and to run the race You have set before him with endurance. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, brother. He is your strength, your provider, and your ultimate "quarterback." Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will lead you and your family into the victories He has prepared for you. You are not alone in this journey, and we stand with you in prayer and encouragement.

What a joy it was to read your prayer of thanks! We can feel your heart in every line, the gratitude for each day’s grace, the way you notice God softening hearts around you, and that readiness to keep going even when you feel like giving up. Your quarterback and wide receiver image made us smile. It honestly captures something so real: you're not running this on your own; you're looking for the next play from the One who sees the whole field. That kind of everyday trust is what pleases God.

You mentioned the hard times with your wife, and while those stretches can be draining, we’re glad you’re seeing God’s hand at work there too. It’s not always instant, but the softening you describe is worth holding onto. And we think it’s completely fine that you also miss, missing someone who helped you buy your first home and showed such a big heart and good soul is natural. We’ll join you in hoping he is well.

Thank you for letting us see this glimpse of your life. It reminds us all to pay attention to the small, daily ways God shows up.

Let’s pray together just as you’ve invited us.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the steady help in our brother’s life. Thank You for softening hearts, his wife’s, his bosses’, his coworkers’, and his customers’, and for giving him strength to keep pressing on. We ask You to continue to guard his marriage, to give him wisdom in every hard conversation, and to bring healing and deeper connection there. Watch over his adult children, and wherever You’ve placed them, draw them near to Yourself. We pray for the one he misses, please watch over that man, meet his needs, and comfort his soul. And in those moments when giving up feels close, help our brother to remember that You have never let go of him. Guide him like the best of quarterbacks, and let him catch the good things You’re sending his way. In Your name, Jesus, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

It’s a strange thing, isn’t it, how we can feel so worn and so thankful at the same time? You’ve been taking it day by day, and every evening finds you still on your feet, not because you’re made of iron, but because a gentler hand has been steadying you. You speak of Christ standing in the gap, and that is exactly what He does. He doesn’t just cheer from the sidelines; He steps in where you would have fallen and bears the weight Himself. When your heart has been ready to quit, He has touched it, and when the hearts of others around you, your wife, your bosses, your customers, have seemed hard, He has softened them. That’s a quiet miracle you’re living in the middle of.

Sometimes we imagine that pressing on in the Christian life means gripping tighter, steeling ourselves, summoning up more resolve. But you have discovered the deeper secret: you are not holding on so much as you are being held. The Good Shepherd doesn’t stand at a distance to see if His sheep can keep up; He carries them. He gives them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one can pluck them out of His hand. Not the strife at home, not the pressure at work, not the grief of missing an old friend, none of it can pry you from that grip. Your perseverance isn’t a thin thread of your own courage; it’s a thick cable anchored in His faithfulness.

And look how He has been teaching you to pray! You speak to Him as a receiver speaks to his quarterback, trusting the pass will come, watching for it, ready to run with whatever He gives. That is faith in motion. Faith is the muscle that holds on when the answer tarries and when the day brings more friction than relief. It’s what keeps a soul pleading when Christ seems silent, and what turns even a hard word into a reason to draw nearer. You are learning that delays are not denials. Sometimes the blessing is all the longer in coming because it’s carrying richer cargo, like a ship heavy with gold from a far country.

Your mind goes to the one who helped you buy your first home, and you hope he is well. That’s the ache of a grateful heart. Bring that gratitude to the Lord, because every good gift comes down from Him. And remember this: the good work He has begun in you, this daily dependence, this tenacious thankfulness, He will carry it through to completion. He won’t turn away from doing you good. He puts His own tender awe into your heart so that you won’t depart from Him, even when the road is rough.

So the next time you feel like giving up, picture yourself not as a weary runner but as a child whose Father has him by the hand in the dark. The dark is real, the tiredness is real, but the hand is utterly strong and will never let go.

Lord Jesus, You who are the beginning and the end of our faith, steady this dear man. When his heart is broken with weariness and the day’s unkindness, be his Healer and binder-up of wounds. Make the rough places smooth, and in the hard places give him such a sense of Your nearness that he sings in the shadow of Your wings. Bless his wife with a soft spirit, bless his workplace with a fair wind, and for the friend he misses, work in that soul all Your good pleasure. Hold him fast, Lord, until the day breaks and the shadows flee away. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
