Humble Prayer Warrior
Dear God thank you for helping me at work and at home. Thank you for our home and our adult kid's. Please continue to help our adult son with the person that he is having a relationship with. From what we are being told that this person was born a boy but looks like a girl and may have had surgery to try and change their sexual orientation. I pray for this person and I pray that you can touch the heart of this person to help them with their challenges. Our son is a person who always tries to help others with their drug use and he has lost a few friends to drug overdose. I wish that our son could have been able to have what I had growing up to be able to have good jobs and good income and a good home and a good wife and a good family. I hope that you can help our son make good decisions and to be able to support himself someday. I think that time's are a bit harder than when my wife and I first met and all the time that we have had together. Please continue to help me with my projects and proposals and for the ability to handle the work of two project managers. Thank you for giving me the courage and the strength and the faith to know in my heart that because of you and your son Jesus Christ my lord and Savior that thing's are going to be okay for me and my wife and our son and daughter. Please help me receive a great financial blessing to be able to help our adult kid's and to be able to help others with their needs in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for helping me quit smoking cigarettes for over four years and to be able to quit smoking pot for over the past few weeks and for helping me reduce my alcohol use so that I am not waking up shaking and sweating and having bad dreams and little sleep. Help me have a good night's rest to be able to wake up ready for tomorrow and to get my work done correctly and on time. I really appreciate how you have been able to soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers and especially my wife. Please continue to watch over my one and only brother left in my life who lives by himself in NM. Please help me take some time off from work in the near future to go play golf with my one and only Best friend who lives up north from me before we get too old. Life goes by so fast. I think my sons friend just came over and may be with our son downstairs in his room. Please help them with their challenges trying to grow up and to work and to be good and to be happy with who they are. I am not to judge anyone and I only want the best for them. Thank you Jesus Christ thank you God for helping us. Amen 🙏

We hear your heart, and we join with you in lifting these concerns to our Heavenly Father, who hears the cries of His children and works all things together for good for those who love Him. Your gratitude for God’s provision in your work, home, and personal victories—such as overcoming smoking, reducing alcohol, and quitting marijuana—is a testament to His faithfulness. We celebrate these steps of obedience and self-control, for Scripture tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). Your dependence on Christ for strength and courage is evident, and we pray this foundation only grows deeper.

However, we must address the situation with your son’s relationship with great love and biblical clarity. The relationship you describe does not align with God’s design for human sexuality or marriage. Scripture is clear: *"So God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him; male and female he created them"* (Genesis 1:27). Any attempt to alter or reject the biological sex God ordained is a distortion of His perfect plan. Furthermore, the Bible condemns homosexuality as sin, as stated in Romans 1:26-27: *"For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."*

We must also address the reality that your son is engaging in a sexual relationship outside of marriage, which is fornication. The Bible warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). This is not a matter of judgment but of loving truth. Your son’s desire to help others with their struggles is commendable, but he cannot lead others to righteousness while walking in unrepentant sin. We must pray fervently for conviction, repentance, and a turning away from this relationship.

Your longing for your son to experience the blessings of a godly marriage, family, and stability is understandable. But we must remember that God’s timing and ways are higher than ours. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Your son’s path may look different from what you envisioned, but God is still at work. We must pray for his spiritual growth, wisdom, and discernment, trusting that God can redeem even the most broken circumstances.

We also lift up your financial concerns. While it is good to desire provision for your family and others, we must guard our hearts against covetousness or a misplaced trust in wealth. Jesus warned, *"For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?"* (Mark 8:36). Instead, we pray for contentment in Christ and wisdom in stewardship. God promises to supply our needs, not necessarily our wants: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We encourage you to seek His will above all else, trusting that He knows what is best for your family.

Your concern for your brother and your friend is a reflection of your love for others. We pray for their well-being and for opportunities for you to encourage and support them. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."*

Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness in our lives. We thank You for the victories You have given—freedom from addiction, strength in trials, and provision in our needs. Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your mercy and grace to cover them. Father, we pray specifically for their son. We ask that You would break the chains of sin in his life and reveal to him the truth of Your Word. Convict his heart, Lord, and draw him back to You. May he turn away from this ungodly relationship and seek Your design for his life. We pray for the person he is involved with, that You would soften their heart and open their eyes to Your truth. May they come to know You as Savior and turn from their rebellion against Your created order.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment for this family as they navigate these challenges. Give them the words to speak in love and truth, and the courage to stand firm on Your Word. We pray for Your provision in their financial needs, but more importantly, we pray for contentment and trust in You. Help them to seek Your kingdom first, knowing that all else will be added unto them.

Lord, we ask for rest and peace for this father, that he may sleep well and wake refreshed to serve You. We pray for his brother and friend, that You would watch over them and draw them closer to You. Finally, we ask for opportunities for this family to be a light in their community, sharing the hope of the Gospel with those around them.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. May Your will be done in this family’s life, and may they continue to grow in faith, love, and obedience to You. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friend, in prayer for your son and his friend. We echo your hope for them to grow up to be good, happy, and helpful individuals. It's tough being a parent, isn't it? We're reminded of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Let's trust that our Heavenly Father is at work in their lives, even in the challenges they face.

We also join you in praying for your brother and friend, that they may find peace, joy, and strength in their lives. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, and has not another to lift him up." Let's pray that they may have each other's support and encouragement.

And yes, we're with you in praying for your projects, proposals, and financial blessings. We believe that God will give you the courage, strength, and faith to handle your work well, and that He will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Let's continue to lift up these petitions to our Lord Jesus Christ, trusting in His love and care for us.
