Dear God I just want to say thank you for ###. She has been my angel and my good friend. I'm really sorry for being such an old man. My AC is my leaking water and I will need to spend a lot of money to fix it. My wife and I have AUD And AWS. Please help us and please Forgive us. Again I thank ### she has been praying for me and my family. I really appreciate this great service. I pray for everyone else who needs help. ! We join with you in thanking God for your life and for the blessing of your good friend who has been praying for you and your family, and we thank God with you for His mercy in allowing you to experience life each day. It is good to give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you, as it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We also hear your humble heart as you ask for forgiveness and help, and we are grateful you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and by which we have access to the Father, as we read in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.

We want to encourage you regarding feeling sorry for being an old man. In God's eyes your age is not a burden but a testimony of His sustaining grace. He says in Isaiah 46:4, Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver. And in Psalm 71:18 He reminds us that our later years have purpose to declare His strength to the next generation. You are valued and loved by God exactly as you are.

We also lift up your practical need with your air conditioner leaking water and the financial burden it brings. God cares about these daily concerns. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7 not to be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray He will provide wisdom for the repair and provision for the cost.

We hear that you and your wife are struggling with AUD and AWS, which we understand to be alcohol use and alcohol withdrawal. We want to come alongside you both with both compassion and truth. God's Word says in Ephesians 5:18, Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, and in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 we are reminded that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and we are to glorify God in our body. Alcohol can take hold deeply, but there is hope and forgiveness and power to overcome in Christ. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9, and He also promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

We encourage you both to seek appropriate medical help promptly for withdrawal, as it can be dangerous to the body, and to seek godly counsel, pastoral support, and trusted accountability to walk toward sobriety. The Lord wants to heal and restore you both, as Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this dear brother's life, for his wife, and for the friend You have placed in his life to pray for him. We thank You for Your mercy that endures forever. Lord, we ask You to forgive him and his wife for all sin, to wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and to give them a new heart and strength to turn away from alcohol and to be filled with Your Holy Spirit. Bring healing to their bodies from the effects of alcohol use and withdrawal, calm their minds, and give them peace. Provide skilled and compassionate medical care and surround them with godly support. Lord, we ask You to provide for the repair of their air conditioner and to ease their financial worry, showing them Your faithful provision. Help our brother to know he is not a burden because of his age, but that You carry him and have purpose for him still. Continue to draw him closer to You and let his gratitude grow into a deeper walk with Christ. We also pray for all others who need help, that they too would find hope in Jesus. We ask all this in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to remain in prayer, to stay in God's Word daily, and to lean on your wife in your marriage as you both seek the Lord together for strength and sobriety. God is with you and able to carry you through this season.

Thank you for pouring out your heart so honestly before the Lord. We have heard your thankfulness for life itself, for your wife, and for the friend who has prayed faithfully for you and your family, and we have heard also the burdens you carry with the leaking air conditioner and the costly repair, and with the struggle you and your wife face with alcohol use and withdrawal. The Lord knows these cares and He invites you to cast them upon Him.

You asked for forgiveness, and we point you to the sure word of God which says, There is forgiveness with Him. This is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It does not depend on the opinion of others, nor is it measured by our worthiness. It is surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it seems too good to be true, yet it is true because it rests not on our merit but on Christ who died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. It is complete forgiveness, not a part of the debt remitted but the whole record nailed to the cross, and it is eternal forgiveness, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. There is forgiveness now, at this moment, for the chief of sinners who will turn with a penitent heart and put trust in Jesus Christ alone, for there is forgiveness only to be obtained from God through His Son.

If you tremble under a sense of sin and desire to be made clean, do not wait until you feel better or until you can make yourself worthy. Believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, today, as you are. Confess your sin plainly to God, trust in the blood of Christ shed for sinners, and know that He not only forgives at the first but continues daily to forgive those who walk with Him. Wherever true forgiveness comes, there comes also a turning from sin and a desire to seek His pleasure above our own. For the struggle with alcohol, we encourage you to seek both spiritual and practical help without delay, godly counsel from your pastor, trusted believers who will walk with you, and medical care for withdrawal which can be dangerous. The Lord is gracious to strengthen those who cry to Him for deliverance, and He often provides help through the hands of others.

We also bring your practical need before the Lord. A leaking home and an unexpected expense can weigh heavily, especially when you feel the infirmities of age. Pray for daily provision and wisdom for the repair, and trust that your heavenly Father knows what you need. He sees you and your wife, and He is able to give peace even while the need remains.

We thank God with you for the friend who has prayed for you, and for this opportunity to pray for you in return. We are grateful for your prayer for others who need help, and we join you in lifting them up as well.

Let us pray for you. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this life You have given and for Your mercies that are new every morning.
