Jesus Christ please help me

Dwsariator

Servant of All
Dear God please help me. Please forgive me for my AUD. Please help me because I am not going to work tomorrow because I am going to stay home and lay on my bed and drink alcohol. I have worked my entire life and I just need a break and to kick back and I really don't care if I lose my job or if my wife wants to divorce me because I am just over this crap. I'm tired and I am an old man but I am so thankful for you. I'm okay with what happens tomorrow. I am at peace with my life. I have had a good life. Again my dear lord and Savior Jesus Christ thank you. Please help me have another day off from work tomorrow without having to lose my job I just want another day off from work. I just need a break. Is that okay 🙏?

We hear the weariness in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up your struggles in the name of Jesus Christ. First, we want to acknowledge your honesty, it takes courage to lay bare your struggles before God, and we are thankful you have done so. The weight of life, work, and the battle with alcohol use disorder (AUD) is heavy, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to move powerfully in your life.

Your request reveals a deep exhaustion, and we want to address it with both truth and compassion. The Bible tells us in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Jesus is not calling you to a life of endless toil without rest, but He does call you to bring your burdens to Him, not to alcohol, which only deepens the struggle. Proverbs 20:1 warns, "Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise." We rebuke the lie that alcohol will bring you the peace or rest you seek, for it is a counterfeit that leads only to greater bondage.

We also want to gently but firmly address the attitude toward your job and marriage. Ephesians 5:25 and 6:7 remind us of our responsibilities: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for it... With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men." Your wife and your work are not "crap", they are areas where God has called you to stewardship, love, and faithfulness. The enemy would love for you to believe that walking away from these responsibilities will bring you peace, but true peace comes from walking in obedience to God’s design for your life. We rebuke the spirit of despair and apathy that seeks to convince you that your marriage and job are burdens rather than blessings to be honored.

You mention being at peace with your life, and we rejoice that you have found gratitude in your journey. However, we must ask: Is this peace from the Lord, or is it resignation born of exhaustion? True peace, the kind that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), comes from surrendering our struggles to Jesus and trusting Him to sustain us. We encourage you to seek rest in Him, not in alcohol or escape. Psalm 62:1-2 says, "My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is weary and struggling. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of alcohol that seek to bind him, and we rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell him escape is the only answer. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and remind him of the rest that can only be found in You. Give him the strength to turn away from the temporary relief of alcohol and to seek Your face instead.

Father, we pray for his marriage. Soften his heart toward his wife, and help him to see her as a gift from You. Restore love, patience, and communication in their relationship, and let them both feel Your presence in their home. We also pray for his work, Lord. Give him the wisdom to approach his responsibilities with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that he serves You in all he does. If he needs rest, provide it in a way that honors You and does not lead to further bondage.

Lord, we ask that You would surround him with godly men who can walk alongside him, encourage him, and hold him accountable. Help him to find a community where he can be transparent about his struggles and find support. Most of all, draw him closer to You, Jesus. Let him feel Your love, Your grace, and Your peace in a tangible way. Remind him that he is not alone, and that You are fighting for him.

We declare healing over his body, mind, and spirit. We declare freedom from addiction and restoration in every area of his life. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You will answer this prayer according to Your will. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to reach out to your pastor, a trusted Christian counselor, or a support group like Celebrate Recovery. You do not have to fight this battle alone, and there is no shame in asking for help. God has not abandoned you, He is with you, and He is for you. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Hold onto that promise, and let it be the anchor for your soul.

Friend, we hear the exhaustion in your words, and we want you to know we’re here with you. Life can feel overwhelming when we’re carrying so much, work, relationships, and the weight of our own struggles. It’s okay to feel tired, but we want to gently remind you that you don’t have to carry it all alone.

Jesus understands when we feel stretched thin. In Him, we find a place to rest, not from our responsibilities, but in His strength. The Bible says in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." That rest isn’t found in turning away from what matters, but in leaning on Him instead of turning to things that only bring temporary relief.

We’re praying for you right now. May God give you the clarity to see the good in your job and your marriage, even when it feels hard. May He surround you with people who can support you and remind you that you’re loved. And most of all, may you feel His peace in a way that brings real comfort, not the kind that comes from avoiding the hard things, but the kind that comes from knowing He’s with you in them.

Lord, reach into the deepest parts of our brother’s heart. Bring him comfort in his weariness, strength in his weakness, and wisdom to make choices that honor You. Let him feel Your presence today. In Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our heart to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in your weariness, grant you rest, and pour out His grace and peace over your situation.

We prayed for God’s forgiveness to wash over you, for His strength to uphold you, and for His wisdom to guide you in the days ahead. We asked Him to soften your heart, renew your spirit, and help you find true rest—not just from work, but in Him. We also prayed for your marriage, that God would draw near to you and your wife, bringing healing, understanding, and unity where there may be strain.

If the Lord has answered your prayer—whether by granting you the break you needed, giving you clarity, or filling you with His peace—we would love to hear how He has moved. Your praise report could encourage others who are walking through similar struggles.

If, however, the weight of this season still feels heavy, please know that we are here to continue lifting you up. You are not alone, and we would be honored to pray for you again. Simply share your request anew, and we will stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace.

May God bless you with His presence, His provision, and His hope as you seek Him. May He grant you the rest your soul truly longs for and remind you of His unfailing love. We continue to pray for you in Jesus’ Name.
