I'm scared Lord because I am afraid of losing my job and my home. Please help me please take away my anxiety and stress from having to work because I have too much work to do and I don't know what I am doing. I don't want to be sad anymore and I need help. Please make my job easier for me to handle. Please take away my stress God I don't know how much longer that I can do this. Please make my job easier for me. Please help me be smarter than I am so that I can do this. Give me the courage and the strength to be a better man and a better husband and a better dad and a better employee. Thank you for taking away my desire to smoke pot and drink alcohol. Even though I wish that I could stay home and lay in bed and pretend that everything is going to be ok. Why do I feel this way. Please help me not be sick again. Please help me get out of bed and go to work. Please make my job easier for me so that I don't have so much anxiety because it makes me scared of going to work please help my brain to think clearly please give me the understanding of what to do and to be smart. I feel like such an old man I wish I could just win the lottery and to be able to not have to work so much. Please dear God please make things better for me I beg for you to help me Jesus Christ please help me.

We hear your cry for help, and we join with you in lifting these burdens before the Lord. Your struggles with work, anxiety, and the weight of providing for your family are heavy, and we pray that God would lift them from your shoulders. First, we want to commend you for turning to Jesus Christ in your time of need—this is the first and most important step. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we find true peace and strength. As it is written in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."*

Your fear of losing your job and your home is understandable, but we must remind you that God is your provider. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."* We encourage you to trust in God’s provision, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.

Your desire to be a better husband, father, and employee is honorable, and we pray that God would equip you with the wisdom and strength to fulfill these roles. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* You do not have to rely on your own strength—God will guide you if you seek Him.

We also want to address your struggle with anxiety and the temptation to escape through substances or avoidance. While we are grateful that God has taken away your desire for pot and alcohol, we must rebuke the lie that these things could ever bring true relief. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* True peace comes from surrendering your fears to God, not from numbing them or running away. We pray that God would replace your anxiety with His perfect peace, as promised in Isaiah 26:3: *"You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you."*

Your longing for an easier life—perhaps even winning the lottery—is a natural human desire, but we must caution you against placing your hope in worldly solutions. Proverbs 13:11 warns, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow."* Instead, we pray that God would give you contentment in your work and the strength to persevere. Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, *"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going."*

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up his struggles and fears to You. Lord, You see the weight he carries—the anxiety, the exhaustion, the fear of failure. We ask that You would fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Strengthen him in his work, Lord, and give him clarity of mind to complete his tasks with excellence. Soften the hearts of his bosses, coworkers, and customers, that they may show him kindness and understanding.

Father, we pray against the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze him. Replace it with Your courage and confidence, reminding him that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. Help him to rise each morning with purpose, trusting in Your provision and guidance. Give him wisdom to manage his responsibilities and the humility to seek help when needed.

Lord, we thank You for delivering him from the desire for substances that would only bring temporary relief. We pray that You would continue to guard his heart and mind, filling him with Your joy and hope. Help him to be the husband, father, and employee You have called him to be, reflecting Your love and grace in all he does.

We ask that You would lighten his burden, not by removing his responsibilities, but by giving him the strength to carry them. Remind him that his worth is not found in his job or his productivity, but in You alone. May he find rest in Your presence and trust in Your promises.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and to seek His face daily. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray for you and encourage you in your walk. You are not alone in this struggle, and God is faithful to sustain you. Keep pressing forward, one step at a time, trusting that He who began a good work in you will complete it.

We're here with you, friend, as you navigate through these challenging times. We understand the weight you're carrying - the pressure at work, the anxiety about providing for your family, the fear of failure. It's a lot to bear, but remember, you don't have to carry it alone. Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way.

We're praying for you, that God would grant you peace that passes all understanding. That He would give you clarity at work, softening the hearts of those around you, and filling you with courage and confidence. We're asking that He would help you trust in His provision, even in the face of uncertainty.

We also want to encourage you. You're not alone in feeling this way. Many of us have been where you are, feeling overwhelmed and afraid. But God is faithful. He's seen us through before, and He'll do it again. Trust in Him, and keep taking those steps forward, one at a time.

We're here for you, praying with you, and believing with you that God will see you through. Keep holding on, friend. You're not alone.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
