Dear God I am scared that I will lose my job because I can't lead a team's meeting and I have been given another job assignment that I can't handle it. I don't know what to do. I'm so sad and embarrassed but I did not sign up for this. If I lose my job I will lose our health insurance. I may go back to wanting to die. Sorry I'm scared.

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your fear and anxiety are real, and we acknowledge the weight of what you’re carrying—job insecurity, the pressure of responsibilities that feel overwhelming, and the very real consequences of losing health insurance. But we also declare that our God is greater than your circumstances. He sees you, He knows your struggles, and He is your Provider, your Strength, and your Peace.

First, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your job performance or the opinions of others. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14), and He has a purpose for you that goes far beyond this moment of fear. The enemy would love to use this situation to steal your joy, your hope, and even your will to live, but we rebuke that spirit of despair in Jesus’ name. You are not alone, and you do not have to carry this burden by yourself. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to encourage you to bring this situation before the Lord with honesty. It’s okay to admit that you’re scared—that you don’t know what to do. God already knows your heart, and He invites you to come to Him just as you are. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* That peace is available to you right now. It doesn’t mean your circumstances will change instantly, but it means you don’t have to face them with fear.

We also want to gently challenge you to consider whether there are steps you can take to address the situation practically. Have you spoken to your supervisor or a trusted mentor about the challenges you’re facing? Sometimes, asking for help or clarification can make a world of difference. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* You don’t have to figure this out alone. If you’re struggling with the skills needed for these tasks, is there training or support you could seek? God often provides wisdom and resources through the people and opportunities around us.

As for the fear of losing your job and the health insurance that comes with it, we want to remind you that God is Jehovah Jireh—your Provider. He has promised to meet your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). That doesn’t mean He will always provide in the way we expect, but it does mean He will never abandon you. We encourage you to trust Him with your future, even when the path ahead feels uncertain. Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed, scared, and uncertain. Lord, You know the weight they are carrying—the fear of failure, the pressure of responsibilities, and the very real consequences of losing their job. But You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind from the lies of the enemy, who would seek to steal their hope and joy.

Father, we ask that You would give them wisdom and clarity in this situation. Show them the steps they need to take, whether it’s seeking help, communicating their struggles, or trusting You with the outcome. Give them the courage to face each day with faith, knowing that You are with them. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them—whether in their current job or elsewhere. Provide for their needs, including their health insurance, in ways that only You can.

We also pray for their emotional and mental well-being. The enemy would love to use this situation to push them toward despair, but we declare that You are their Hope and their Salvation. Remind them of Your love and Your promises. Fill them with Your joy and strength, even in the midst of uncertainty. And if there are areas where they need to surrender control to You, help them to do so with trust and faith.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and Your love for them is perfect. Help them to rest in that love and to trust You with their future. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

We want to leave you with this encouragement: God is not surprised by your circumstances, and He is not overwhelmed by them. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes on Him, and don’t let fear dictate your steps. You are not defined by this moment, and God has a plan for you—one that includes hope, peace, and a future. Lean on Him, trust Him, and allow His strength to carry you through. You are loved, you are valued, and you are not alone.

We're here with you, friend. It's okay to feel overwhelmed and scared right now. We want you to know that you're not alone in this, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

We're reminded of a verse in Hebrews 4:16 that says, "Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." You can come to God just as you are, with all your fears and uncertainties. He's there, ready to listen and ready to help.

We want to encourage you to take one step at a time. Maybe that's talking to your supervisor about the challenges you're facing, or maybe it's seeking out training or support to help you with the tasks you're struggling with. Remember, it's okay to ask for help. It's also okay to not have all the answers right now. God is big enough to handle whatever comes your way.

We're also reminded of Matthew 6:25-26, where Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of them by worried about their life?"

God sees you, He knows your struggles, and He cares for you deeply. He promises to provide for your needs, including your health insurance. Trust in Him, even when the path ahead feels uncertain.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of our friend who is feeling overwhelmed and scared. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind from the lies of the enemy, who would seek to steal their hope and joy. Give them wisdom and clarity in this situation, and give them the courage to face each day with faith, knowing that You are with them. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, and provide for their needs in ways that only You can. We also pray for their emotional and mental well-being, that they would rest in Your love and trust You with their future. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this incredibly difficult time. It’s clear how deeply this situation has weighed on your heart, and we’ve been lifting you before the Lord, asking Him to carry your fears, your sadness, and your overwhelming responsibilities. You are not alone in this—we’ve been asking God to surround you with His peace, to give you wisdom in every decision, and to remind you of His faithfulness, even when the path ahead feels uncertain.

If God has answered this prayer in ways you can see—whether through unexpected provision, renewed strength, or a change in your circumstances—we would love to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be an encouragement to others who are facing similar battles. But if the weight still feels heavy and the answers haven’t come yet, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, to stand in agreement for breakthrough, and to remind you that God sees your struggle and hears your cries.

We’ve been specifically asking the Lord to:
- Give you favor with your leadership and clarity in how to approach your responsibilities.
- Provide creative solutions or support you may not have considered.
- Protect your heart from despair and fill you with His hope, even in small moments.
- Open doors for stability, whether through this job or another path He has prepared.
- Remind you of His love and purpose for you, especially when shame or fear try to take hold.

You are valued, you are seen, and you are not forgotten. We will keep praying that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He meet you in this season and reveal Himself as your Provider, your Comforter, and your Strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
