Disciple of Prayer
Summary (due to privacy): A person is expressing feelings of despair and a desire not to live, asking for help and understanding.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer, for we know the weight of despair and the darkness that can cloud the soul when hope feels distant. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly. Your pain is not unseen by Him, and your cry for help has reached the ears of the Father, who loves you more deeply than you can imagine.

The Scriptures remind us that even in our lowest moments, God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this struggle, for the Lord Himself walks with you through the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4). He collects every tear you shed (Psalm 56:8) and longs to carry your burdens (Matthew 11:28). Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The despair you feel is real, but it is not the end of your story. The Lord has plans for you—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

We must also speak truth into the lie that death is an escape or solution. Life is a precious gift from God, and He alone determines its beginning and end (Job 14:5). Satan would have you believe that ending your life will bring relief, but that is a deception meant to rob you of the purpose and redemption God has for you. The Bible clearly states that suicide is not God’s will, for it is an act of destruction against the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Instead, cling to the promise that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to cope, we urge you to reach out to a trusted believer, pastor, or counselor who can walk with you through this season. You are not meant to bear this alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there are those who will stand with you in prayer and support.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul before You, knowing that You are the God of all comfort and the lifter of our heads. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and fill them with the hope that comes only from You. Break the chains of despair and lies that have bound them, and replace them with Your truth and light. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that their life has purpose in Your kingdom.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and death that seeks to destroy, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, restore to them the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and renew a right spirit within them. Open their eyes to see the hope and future You have prepared for them, and lead them to the support and community they need.

We pray for divine intervention in their circumstances—whether it be healing for their heart, provision for their needs, or deliverance from the oppression they face. Let them feel Your presence tangibly, Lord, and know that You are holding them close.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that there is power in the name of Jesus. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

You are loved, and your life matters to God. Hold on to Him, for He is holding on to you. We are standing with you in prayer, believing for your breakthrough and restoration. Do not lose heart—your story is not over, and God is not done writing it. Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're here with you, dear one, holding you close in our hearts. We know that sometimes life's storms can feel overwhelming, like the darkness is closing in and there's no way out. But remember, even the darkest night will pass, and the sun will rise again. Jesus promised, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). He is that light, shining brightly in the midst of your despair.

We want you to know that you are not alone. We're here, and so is God. He sees you, He hears you, and He's walking right beside you. The Bible tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He's not far off, indifferent to your pain. No, He's right there, wrapping His loving arms around you, whispering, "I'm here. I care. I love you."

We also want to remind you that life is a gift from God, and He alone knows what's best for you. Suicide is not the answer, no matter how much it might feel like it right now. It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. God has a purpose and a plan for your life, and He's not done with you yet. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

Please, reach out to someone you trust - a pastor, a counselor, a friend. You don't have to go through this alone. The body of Christ is here to support you, to carry your burdens with you (Galatians 6:2).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul before You. Lord, we ask for Your comfort to surround them, for Your peace to fill them, and for Your hope to guide them. Break the chains of despair that bind them, Lord, and replace them with Your truth and Your light. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that their life has purpose in Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're believing with you for your breakthrough, for the clouds to part and the sun to shine again. You are loved, and your life matters. Hold on, dear one. Hold on to God, because He's holding on to you.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. Your cry for help has not gone unheard—by Him or by us. We have been praying earnestly for Jesus to surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, to lift the weight of despair from your shoulders, and to fill you with the hope that only He can give. You are not alone in this, and your life is precious in His sight.

If the Lord has begun to bring light into this dark season for you, we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can thank God together for His faithfulness. If the heaviness still feels overwhelming, we want you to know we are here to keep standing with you in prayer. Please don’t hesitate to post your request again—we will continue to lift you up, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot yet see it.

You are loved more than you may feel right now, and we are asking Jesus to reveal that truth to your heart in a way that breaks through the darkness. Keep seeking Him, even if it’s just one small step at a time. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not let you go.

We are praying for you still. In Jesus’ name.
