Jesus Christ please forgive me

Please help my family and my employer and my customers and my coworkers. I am not good enough to support my family and my employer and my customers anymore. I am not a good project manager and am so stressed with my job and trying to support my family. I give up and I'm going to let you do what you have to do. I'm not physically or mentally capable of doing this anymore. Please take it away from me and let someone else do this. I'm ok if my life and my job ends soon. I prefer to be able to go to sleep and not wake up. I have no regrets and I thank you for everything you gave me. I'm not worthy and I need to just let go. Peace out. Amen 🙏

We hear the deep despair and exhaustion in your heart, and we want you to know that your life is precious to God, who created you with purpose and love. You are not alone in this struggle, and though you feel overwhelmed, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your cry for help has reached Him, and He is listening.

First, we must address the hopelessness and thoughts of surrendering your life. These feelings are not from God, for He desires to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. Your worth is not defined by your performance, your job, or even your ability to provide. You are worthy because you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). Your family, your coworkers, and your customers may depend on you, but ultimately, they—and you—are in God’s hands. He is the Provider, not you. He calls you to trust Him, not to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.

You mentioned feeling unworthy, and we want to remind you that none of us are worthy on our own. It is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved and made righteous (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus took your unworthiness upon Himself on the cross so that you could stand before God as His beloved child. You do not have to earn His love or His help—it is freely given. All you must do is turn to Him and ask.

We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, there is a sense of finality and resignation rather than a plea for His intervention and strength. Now is not the time to let go of life but to cling to the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). He is inviting you to surrender your burdens to Him, not your life.

As for your job and the stress of being a project manager, we understand the pressure you are under. But remember, God does not call the equipped; He equips the called. If He has placed you in this role, He will provide the strength, wisdom, and resources you need. You are not required to do this in your own power. The apostle Paul wrote, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). This does not mean you will never feel weak or incapable, but it means that in your weakness, Christ’s power is perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean on Him, not on your own understanding or strength.

If you are at the point of feeling physically and mentally incapable, it may be time to seek help—not just spiritually, but practically. This could mean talking to a trusted brother or sister in Christ, seeking godly counseling, or even speaking with a doctor if your health is suffering. There is no shame in asking for help. Even the great prophet Elijah, after a mighty victory, fell into despair and asked God to take his life (1 Kings 19:4). But God did not abandon him. Instead, He provided for Elijah’s physical needs, spoke to him gently, and reminded him of His presence and purpose. God will do the same for you.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to shift your focus from what you *can’t* do to what God *can* do. Instead of saying, “I give up,” say, “Lord, I surrender this to You. Show me Your will and give me the strength to follow.” Instead of wishing for an end, ask God to renew your heart and mind (Romans 12:2). He is the God of resurrection power, and He can bring life and hope where there seems to be none.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, who is feeling crushed under the weight of his responsibilities and his own expectations. Lord, he is crying out to You in his despair, and we ask that You meet him right where he is. Remind him that he is not alone, that You see his struggles, and that You are his ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and despair that is trying to take hold of him. These thoughts do not come from You, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. Fill him instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Renew his mind with Your truth and let him see himself as You see him—beloved, valuable, and capable through Your strength.

Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in his work. If there are changes that need to be made, whether in his approach, his responsibilities, or even his job, make the path clear. Provide for him and his family in ways that only You can. Open doors of opportunity, and surround him with people who can support and encourage him. Help him to trust You as his Provider, not just in word, but in deed.

We also pray for his physical and mental health. Restore his strength, Lord, and help him to take the steps he needs to care for himself. If he needs rest, provide it. If he needs help, lead him to the right people. If he needs a miracle, we ask for it in Jesus’ name.

Most of all, Father, draw him closer to You. Let him experience Your love in a tangible way. Remind him that his worth is found in You alone, not in what he does or how well he performs. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).

We declare life over him, not death. We declare hope over him, not despair. We declare Your victory over his circumstances, not defeat. May he rise up with new strength, like an eagle (Isaiah 40:31), and walk forward in the confidence that You are with him every step of the way.

In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we urge you to hold on. This season of struggle will not last forever, but what you do in it matters. Turn to Jesus, not away from life. Seek His face, read His Word, and let His truth anchor you. You are not meant to walk this path alone. Reach out to your brothers and sisters in Christ—let them pray with you, encourage you, and stand with you. And remember, even when you feel like you can’t take another step, God is carrying you.

“Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God!
For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.”
(Psalm 42:5)

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're here for you. We understand that life can feel overwhelming, like a heavy weight that's hard to bear. But remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's inviting you to lay down your burdens, not your life.

We want to remind you that God sees you, He knows your struggles, and He cares deeply. You're not alone in this. He's right there with you, ready to help. He loves you just as you are, not because of what you do or don't do.

Let's shift our focus from what we can't do to what God can do. Instead of saying, "I give up," let's say, "Lord, I surrender this to You. Show me Your will and give me the strength to follow." Instead of wishing for an end, let's ask God to renew our hearts and minds.

Let's pray together:

"Lord, we lift up our friend to You. They're feeling overwhelmed and at the end of their rope. Lord, You see their struggles, and we ask that You meet them right where they are. Fill them with Your peace, Your hope, and Your love. Help them to trust in You, not in their own strength.

Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in their work. If there are changes that need to be made, make the path clear. Provide for them and their family in ways that only You can. Open doors of opportunity and surround them with people who can support and encourage them.

Lord, we also pray for their physical and mental health. Restore their strength, Lord. If they need rest, provide it. If they need help, lead them to the right people. If they need a miracle, we ask for it in Jesus' name.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, not in what they do or how well they perform. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them.

In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, dear friend. This season of struggle won't last forever, but what you do in it matters. Turn to Jesus, not away from life. Seek His face, read His Word, and let His truth anchor you. You're not meant to walk this path alone. Reach out to your brothers and sisters in Christ - let them pray with you, encourage you, and stand with you. And remember, even when you feel like you can't take another step, God is carrying you.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting you, your family, and your burdens before the Lord in these past few days. Your raw honesty and surrender in this prayer have moved us deeply, and we have continued to intercede for you—pleading for God’s mercy, strength, and supernatural peace to flood your heart, mind, and circumstances. We know the weight you’re carrying feels unbearable, and we want you to know we are standing with you, not just in prayer, but as brothers and sisters who care for your well-being in Christ.

The enemy would love for you to believe you are alone in this struggle, that your worth is tied to your performance, or that surrender means defeat. But we are here to remind you that God sees you differently. He does not measure you by your ability to manage projects, support your family, or meet the expectations of others. He measures you by the infinite worth He placed on you when Christ laid down His life for you on the cross. You are *His*—redeemed, loved, and held in His hands, even when you feel you have nothing left to give.

We urge you, dear brother or sister, to hold on just a little longer. The Lord is not finished with you. He hears your cry, and He is working in ways we cannot see. If you feel too weary to pray, let us carry that burden for you. Lean on us, lean on your local church, and most of all, lean on Jesus, who said, *“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”* (Matthew 11:28). His rest is not the absence of struggle, but the presence of His strength in your weakness.

If God has begun to lift this crushing weight from you—whether through renewed hope, a change in circumstances, or even the quiet assurance of His presence—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting Him. And if this battle still rages, if the darkness feels just as heavy, do not hesitate to post again. We will not grow weary of praying for you. We will continue to ask God to open doors you cannot see, to provide in ways you cannot imagine, and to surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

You are not a failure. You are not abandoned. And you are not beyond His reach. Keep seeking Him, even if it’s just whispering His name in the darkness. He is faithful, and He will sustain you.

We are praying for you still. In Jesus’ mighty and compassionate name.
