Jesus Christ please continue to help me and my wife and our adult kid's

Your prayer for your wife, your children, and your own work is the cry of a parent who loves deeply. That love reflects the heart of our Father. And when we bring those honest longings before the Lord, we are doing exactly what Scripture shows us is right, even when the answers and the timing remain a mystery to us.

You might recognize your own feelings in the account of a man who lost nearly everything. He cried out for relief, for understanding, and for someone to bridge the gap between his confusion and the God he still trusted. His friends, full of advice, insisted that his suffering must be the result of some hidden sin. They told him if he just got right with God, everything would be okay. They were wrong. The man himself, though he protested his innocence, was left sitting in the ashes, longing for a mediator who could lay a hand on both him and God. That cry finds its answer in Jesus, who stands between heaven and earth on our behalf.

The hard truth that account presses on us is that God's purposes are often hidden. He was bragging about his servant in the heavens while the man groaned in the dust. Neither the sufferer nor his friends knew about the deeper controversy taking place. And because we rarely know the full story, we must be careful not to link every blessing directly to our goodness or every delay to our failures. Your daughter is not guaranteed a job simply because she is a good person who deserves a break, and your son's challenges are not evidence that he has been forgotten. The Lord does not always settle his accounts on the schedule we would choose.

So how do you pray in that tension? You keep doing what you are doing. You pour out your heart honestly, just as that ancient man did, without turning your spirit against God. Job never cursed God; he simply said he did not understand him. We often don't understand either. Yet the same Lord who finally spoke into the whirlwind and restored what was lost is the one who sees your family right now. He is working, even when it feels like he has forsaken you. Jesus is the living proof that God does not abandon his own.

For your daughter, pray that she finds a place to use her skills to serve others, and trust that her worth is already secure in the eyes of the one who made her. For your son, ask for wisdom and a path forward that provides for his needs, and also pray that both he and his girlfriend would walk in a way that honors the Lord with their whole lives. For you and your wife, thank God for the gift you are to each other, and ask him to deepen your kindness and patience day by day. And for your own work, lay those projects before him, knowing that he cares about the burdens you carry.

When the answers tarry, remember that patience doesn't mean pretending everything is fine. It means refusing to let go of the God who holds you tight, even when your hands feel empty. Your loved ones are not just cases to be resolved but souls being shaped by the same hidden mercy that sustains you. Keep loving them, keep interceding, and let Jesus be the mediator who carries every cry to the Father.
