Jerusalem

We join with you in lifting up Jerusalem before the throne of grace and we thank you for reminding us of this vital and biblical call to prayer.

We take seriously the command in Psalm 122:6, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper. And Psalm 122:7, Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. Jerusalem holds a unique place in the heart of God, the city where He placed His name, the city where our Lord Jesus Christ died and rose again, and the city to which He will return. We are also reminded in Isaiah 62:1, For Zion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest.

When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem we are praying for far more than the absence of conflict or political stability. We are praying for the true peace that only the Prince of Peace can bring, as written in Isaiah 9:6, For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. We pray for the protection of all innocent lives there, Jew and Gentile alike, for wisdom for leaders, for the spread of the gospel in the Holy Land, and for the ultimate peace that will come when hearts are turned to Messiah. As Paul wrote in Romans 10:1, Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.

We do want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard and that true and lasting peace can come. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Our peace with God and our hope for Jerusalem rests entirely on the finished work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection. Without His name, there is no peace.

So together we pray.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up Jerusalem to You today. We ask for Your peace to rest upon that city, peace within its walls and among its people. We pray for the protection of all who live there and for comfort for those who have suffered through violence, fear and loss. We pray for the leaders of Israel and the surrounding nations, that You would grant them wisdom and restrain evil. Lord, we pray most of all for spiritual peace, that many in Jerusalem, both Jew and Arab, would come to know Jesus as Messiah and Savior and receive the peace that passes all understanding. We pray as Jesus said in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let that true peace reign. We ask that You would draw hearts to repentance and faith and hasten the day when Jerusalem will welcome the return of her King. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our peace, Amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in this prayer, for God hears the prayers offered in the name of His Son and He is faithful to His promises concerning Jerusalem.

Thank you for pausing to remember Jerusalem and for inviting us to pray with you. In a world with so many pressing needs it means a lot that you kept this one before the Lord and before others.

We join you in asking for His peace over the city, for the people who live there day to day, families, children, neighbors of different backgrounds, and for leaders who carry heavy responsibility. We know that true peace is more than quiet streets, it is wholeness and security that only God can give, and we can trust Him with both the big picture and the personal stories we may never hear about.

One simple way we have found helpful is to keep a regular, quiet moment for this prayer, maybe once a week at the same time, so it does not get lost among other concerns. Even a brief pause to lift the city by name helps us stay faithful in intercession.

Thank you again for carrying this burden and letting us share it with you.

Father, we lift Jerusalem to You in Jesus' name. Cover the city with Your mercy, guard those who are vulnerable, give wisdom to those who lead, and draw hearts toward Your peace that brings reconciliation and hope. We trust You to work according to Your will and timing. Amen.

It is good and needful that you have put us in remembrance of this duty, for the Psalmist has laid it upon us, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee.

Let us strive together in prayer to God for that city which is beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, even mount Zion, the city of the great King. We do well to pray for her outward peace, that the sword may be stayed and her people delivered from those who do not believe, yet we must pray more deeply for that peace which alone can make any city truly at rest.

Would you have peace for Jerusalem, then remember that first of all the great sine qua non is that peace be made through an ambassador nominated of God, namely His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. This is the foundation for peace which was laid of old, and other foundation can no man lay. Without such peace her future is darkened with thick clouds, but a heart that has yielded to Divine love, that has cast down its weapons and closed in with Divine mercy, is a soul at peace, at rest.

There is nothing for us to bring and nothing for us to do to purchase this peace, but there is much for us to take, for we have to receive Jesus as our All in All. He Himself is perfect, and whether He is dressed in robes of war or comes with words of peace, now that we are reconciled to Him by the death of His Son, He will yet speak peace unto His people if we do but know how to ask for it. He will speak peace unto His people and to His saints, there is peace, nothing else but peace for them who are in Christ.

Let us therefore make a solemn league and covenant together, and in union and concert of prayer wait upon the Lord for Jerusalem, that her eyes may be opened to behold her Messiah who once rode through her streets and wept over her, that she may know the things which belong unto her peace. Let us agonize with one another in prayer that Jew and Gentile alike in that land and in every land may be brought to sue for peace through the blood of the cross, and so be made ready for joy on earth and for bliss unspeakable above.

Now the God of Peace be with you all, and with that city for which we pray, till her righteousness go forth as brightness and her salvation as a lamp that burneth. Amen.

Let us not forget to pray for peace in Jerusalem. ###

Amen, Father we include the Peace of Jerusalem Ps 122:1-6, in our prayers. We know real peace is through the blood of the cross, Col 1:20, Rom 5:1, Rom 5:10... Save Israel, Rom 9:1-3, Rom 10:1-3, Rom 11:1-3, thank You for fulfilling Zech 12:10-13 FULLY soon, in Jesus' Name...
🙏 NATIONAL & WORLD LEADERS NEED OUR PRAYERS (now, at this time in His-Story -- Will we be a part in prayer since we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, Eph 6:10-12, Eph 6:18-20? Which tribe will we be like in the time of Deborah and Barak in The Battle of Mount Tabor, Judges 5:12-27???), 1 Tim 2:1-2, God Urges Prayer for ALL in Authority, that the valleys be lifted up and mountains humbled so as to prepare a straight way for the Lord's Word to travel, Mark 1:3, 1 Tim 2:1-4, Matt 24:14... 🇺🇸 🇨🇳 🇪🇺 (North America, Central and South America, Europe🇺🇦🇩🇪🇬🇧🇵🇱🇫🇷🇵🇹🇨🇭🇦🇹, Asia, Africa, Middle East)🇰🇪🇿🇦🇾🇪🇯🇵🇵🇭🇰🇷🇹🇼🇦🇺🇳🇿🇮🇷🇮🇱🇵🇱🇷🇺🇰🇵🇴🇲, etc.... Nations His Inheritance, Ps 2:7-8... Earth Helps "Swallow Up" False Doctrine, Deception, Christian Persecution and Antisemitism, Rev 12:15-17, Especially in Africa, Middle-East, Asia & Worldwide...

🙏 NATIONAL & WORLD LEADERS NEED OUR PRAYERS (Now, Can't Show News Articles Here, BUT, China, Russia, No Korea & Their Allies (more than one would imagine) are Actively Preparing & Already Prepared for Global Conflict, (Peaceful Nations mostly Unprepared, Undisciplined by-and-large), Tim 2:1-2, The New Testament Urges Prayer for ALL in Authority... "I exhort first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession & givings of thanks, be made for all people: for kings and all in authority; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." Firstly, we thank God for the World's leaders and authorities He has placed over our lives, Rom 13:1-2, as this is an International Prayer Site. We pray for intelligence, character and protection of the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members, as well as godly wisdom and guidance for them. We ask that God would set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us. We pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and that their leadership would promote unity and righteousness and not have any bitterness or rivalry. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. May leaders "do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God," Micah 6:8.

🙏 UNITY AMONG GODLY NATIONS... We agree with this in asking for godly UNITY among political, national and international parties and nations, that they would come to agree on important issues and work together for the good of our nation, their nation and all the nations, Psalm 133. We "Ask of Thee and You will Give The NATIONS as YOUR INHERITANCE, and The UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE EARTH as YOUR POSSESSION, Ps 2:8. We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy, and we ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12. May we be the people of God who are called by His name and humble ourselves to pray and seek His face as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. We pray for wisdom in the worldly leaders and protection of our leaders and civilians worldwide, for the eradication of evil in elections, Isaiah 33:15, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, Titus 1:11. I ask we not back down, for as Daniel was told, “Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, "for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them,' Dan 10:12. I ask we be alert to the fact that beings are moving behind the scenes we cannot always clearly see, Dan 10:13, Job 1:6-12, 2 Sam 24:16, 2 Kings 19:35, Eph 6:10-20, in The Name of Jesus.

🙏 OUR OWN REGIONS... We also pray for God's power & protection over our LOCAL AREAS, "But seek the welfare of the city where I have removed you, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare, peace and prosperity you will find yours as well," Jer 29:7. May The Holy Spirit convict our neighbors, the local students, teachers, workers that come and go and even the fishermen, basketball, baseball, fútbol, football players, parents, pastors, law enforcement and local leaders of righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:8. Father, draw them to Your Son, John 6:44. Graciously grant them saving faith in Jesus as a gift, Eph 2:8, by hearing the Word, John 3:16, Rom 10:17. Grant a wall of fire around our area, protecting it from harm & evil influences, Zechariah 2:5, Ps 91:10-11, John 17:15. 🙌🏼 Thank you in Jesus' Name.

🙏 PROVISION... Father, we thank You for the opportunity to gather support, pray, study and evangelize. Grant a workable schedule so as to make the most of my day and time, for "If we spend our minutes well, we'll have a life well-spent." Please continue to grant daily bread, Matt 6:11, and allow us to receive a competent portion of the good things of this life, along with Your blessing, with godliness with contentment, 1 Tim 6:6. We ask You restore all the years the locusts have eaten, Joel 2:25, and that You grant the fruit of the Holy Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, especially love, joy and peace, that we'd have a cheerful heart that would do good as a medicine, Prov 17:22. Make us glad for as many days as You have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil," Ps 90:15. Help us return to You our stronghold, as prisoners of hope -- as it is written -- Even today I declare that I will restore to you double, Zech 9:12. Instead of shame, My people will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation, they will rejoice in their share; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs, Isa 61:7. Let us return to You, for though You've torn, You will heal us, we are smitten, but You will bind us up, Hos 6:1.

🙏 PERSECUTED CHURCH... We remember those in chains, Heb 13:3, asking for the release of prisoners of faith, Acts 4:4-12, and relief for the persecuted church, Acts 24:23. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:3, and all descendants of Abraham, Gen 12:3.🙏 Finally, we join you in proclaiming that all these things are possible in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is his name by which we will saved as the Bible says in John 14:13 and John 14:6. May our prayers be aligned with God's will, and may His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matt 6:10. 🙌🏼 We Thank and Praise You, Phil 4:6-7, Father God, for All This in advance, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20, in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14.
