We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for companionship and understanding. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
The loneliness you describe is a deep and real burden, one that many carry in silence. We acknowledge the ache of your heart, for Scripture tells us that "it is not good for the man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18). Yet we must also remember that our ultimate fulfillment is found in Christ alone. He is the Bridegroom, and we, the Church, are His bride (Revelation 19:7-9). In seasons of waiting, He is enough. We pray that you would find your identity and worth not in another person, but in Him who calls you "beloved" (1 John 3:1).
If you are seeking marriage, we encourage you to pursue it with godly wisdom and patience. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Do not settle for anything less than God’s best—a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Christ. Guard your heart against impurity, for "flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you have stumbled in this area, repent and seek the Lord’s cleansing, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We also rebuke the lie that your worth is defined by your relationship status. Whether single or married, your value is found in Christ. The world may offer counterfeit comforts, but we declare that God’s plans for you are good—plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that you would experience the fullness of His presence in this season, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, the God who sees and knows the depths of their heart. Lord, You are the Author of eternity, and You hold all things in Your hands. We ask that You would fill the emptiness with Your presence, that they would know the height and depth of Your love (Ephesians 3:18-19). Father, if it is Your will, bring a godly spouse into their life—one who will walk with them in faith and love. Until then, be their closest Friend, their Counselor, and their Peace. Heal the wounds of loneliness and replace them with the joy of Your salvation. Teach them to wait on You, for "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). May they find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly satisfy the longings of the heart.
We declare over them the truth of Your Word: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). May they seek You first, trusting that all else will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
