I've been married for 29 yrs. Last year I found out my husband had an affair for 1 yr. Its been hard to deal with and talking about it to him is difficult cause he doesn't like talking about it. He wants me to leave it alone, but I'm not completely healed. I have since forgiven him but I have so much pain and don't know what to do with it. When I try and talk to him about it, he gets angry and always shuts me down. I just build up more anger and resentment towards him. I don't want to keep feeling this way and don't know how to handle this pain. Please pray to remove all anger and resentment in my heart for him.

Praying for you!

Respectfully, insist on marital counseling. The only way out of this is THROUGH it. Of course your husband doesn't want to talk about it...he's the cheater.  This wasn't a one-night-stand (which would not have been okay either); it's a one-year relationship, so you're dealing with physical AND emotional infidelity, along with sustained lying. By all means pray, but the two of you need to work through this situation with a professional. If he refuses to go, you need to see a professional alone and chart your path ahead.
