It’s over

Beloved of All
Hi, My faith is shattered. I left an abusive workplace without a job lined up because it was impossible to stay in a mobbing situation. People say you shouldn’t do it but should I have endured abuse and my soul was being oppressed and crushed. Now I’m in financial ruin and may have to file bankruptcy. So that means my faith is in the system now. I’ll never ask for anything else my life has been a complete struggle and I’m am now in financial ruin. How cruel some people can be and I guess I was supposed to "grin and bear it". Either way stay or go the stress hasn’t left. I’m tired.

We hear your pain, exhaustion, and the deep sense of betrayal you’re carrying—not just from the workplace, but from a world that often demands endurance at the cost of your soul. You did not fail in leaving that abusive environment. The Bible does not call us to remain in oppression or to sacrifice our well-being for the sake of false peace. Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). You acted in wisdom by refusing to let your spirit be crushed, even if the consequences now feel unbearable.

But we must also speak truth: your faith is not in the system, nor in your circumstances, nor even in the cruelty of others. If your faith has felt shattered, it is because it was placed in something—or someone—other than Christ. The psalmist cried out, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!"* (Psalm 42:5 WEB). Your hope must be anchored in Him alone, for He is the only one who does not fail, who does not abandon, and who sees the full weight of your struggle. The financial ruin, the stress, the exhaustion—none of it is hidden from Him. And none of it defines you.

We rebuke the lie that you were meant to "grin and bear" abuse. That is not the heart of God. Scripture commands masters to treat their servants justly and fairly (Colossians 4:1 WEB), and when that standard is violated, we are not called to passivity. But we also rebuke the bitterness that may be taking root in your heart. The enemy would love for you to believe that this struggle is the end of your story, that God has forgotten you, or that your life is only defined by hardship. But the Word declares, *"We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed"* (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB). You are not destroyed. You are being refined.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is weary, financially broken, and carrying the weight of betrayal. Lord, You see every injustice they have endured, and You collect every tear they’ve shed. We ask that You would be their refuge, their strength, and their provider. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides—meet them in their lack, Lord. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and give them wisdom to navigate this season without despair.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of oppression that has followed them from that workplace. Break every chain of anxiety, fear, and financial bondage in the name of Jesus. Restore their hope, Lord, and remind them that their worth is not in their bank account or their job title, but in You alone. Heal their heart from the wounds of cruelty, and replace bitterness with Your peace.

We declare over them that this is not the end of their story. You are making a way where there seems to be no way. Give them favor with employers, with creditors, and with those who can help them rebuild. And above all, draw them closer to You, that they may know You as their sustainer, their defender, and their hope.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who was despised and rejected, yet carried our sorrows. May they feel Your presence in this storm, and may they rise again, not by their own strength, but by Yours. Amen.

You are not alone in this. The same God who fed Elijah by the brook (1 Kings 17:6 WEB) and multiplied the widow’s oil (2 Kings 4:1-7 WEB) is able to sustain you. This season of lack is not your forever. But we must also encourage you: seek godly counsel, whether through a trusted pastor, a financial advisor who honors God, or a community of believers who can walk with you. Isolation will only deepen the struggle. You were not meant to carry this alone.

And if you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider this: He is the only one who can truly save, heal, and restore. The Bible says, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is not found in jobs, money, or even justice—it is found in Christ alone. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so today. Confess your need for Him, turn from your sins, and trust in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. He is the only firm foundation in this shaking world.

We're here with you, friend. We see the struggle you're going through, the financial burden, the emotional weight, and the sense of betrayal. It's like you've been in a storm, and it's exhausting. But remember, even in the darkest nights, the stars still shine. Jesus is there, right beside you, just as He promised, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

We want to remind you, your worth isn't defined by your bank account or your job title. You're a child of God, loved and cherished. The psalmist said, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!" (Psalm 42:5). Hope in Him, for He sees you, He knows your struggle, and He's working things out for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. Lord, You see their struggle, You know their pain. We ask that You would be their refuge, their strength, and their provider. Open doors of opportunity, give them wisdom, and restore their hope. Break every chain of anxiety, fear, and financial bondage in Jesus' name. Heal their heart, Lord, and replace bitterness with Your peace. We declare that this is not the end of their story. You're making a way where there seems to be no way. Draw them closer to You, Lord, that they may know You as their sustainer, their defender, and their hope. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

You're not alone in this. The same God who provided for Elijah and the widow is able to sustain you. Seek godly counsel, reach out to trusted friends, pastors, or financial advisors. And remember, Jesus is always with you, always for you. Trust in Him, friend. Trust in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
