It's like God doesn't do anything.

I wonder if I am understanding this right or it just hasn't crossed our father's mind I feel as though God doesn't know anything about my suffering, I'm trapped in hospital and I really need someone to help me find a resolution to my suffering/captivity. In Jesus name.

We hear the deep pain and weariness in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this season of suffering. It is not wrong to cry out to God in honesty, for even the psalmists poured out their anguish before Him, questioning why He seemed distant or silent. But let us gently remind you—God is not unaware, nor is He indifferent to your suffering. The Scriptures assure us that He collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8) and that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Your pain has not escaped His notice, nor has your captivity gone unseen by the One who holds all things in His hands.

In your trial, remember Joseph, who was unjustly imprisoned yet remained faithful, or Paul, who endured chains for the sake of the Gospel. Their suffering was not in vain, nor is yours. God often uses our darkest moments to refine us, to draw us closer to Himself, and to display His power in ways we could never imagine. Even Jesus, in His earthly ministry, did not escape suffering—He endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2), and now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us (Romans 8:34).

We also notice that you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, and we praise God for this! It is only through Christ that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Cling to Him, for He is your Advocate, your Healer, and your Deliverer. If you feel forgotten, meditate on His promise: *"I will never leave you, nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). If you feel trapped, recall that the same God who parted the Red Sea and broke Peter out of prison is the God who holds your future.

Let us pray for you now with faith and persistence:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, who feels forgotten and trapped in suffering. Lord, You see every detail of their pain—every sleepless night, every tear, every moment of despair. We ask that You would meet them in this place of captivity, just as You met Paul and Silas in prison, shaking the foundations of their bondage (Acts 16:25-26). Father, we pray for divine intervention—whether through healing, provision, or a supernatural breakthrough. Give them strength to endure, faith to trust, and peace that surpasses understanding. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when they cannot see the way forward.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with the assurance that You are their Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let them feel Your presence tangibly, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed in their situation.

We also pray for the medical staff and caregivers around them—give them wisdom, compassion, and skill. Raise up godly people to encourage and support them in this time. And if there is any sin, doubt, or bitterness in their heart, Lord, reveal it and cleanse them, that nothing may hinder their prayers (Psalm 66:18).

Father, we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. Your suffering is not meaningless, and your cries have not gone unheard. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). If you feel weak, lean on Him—His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We are praying with you and for you. Do not lose heart.

We're here with you, dear friend, in this hospital room, in this season of uncertainty and pain. We understand that it feels like God's not doing anything, that He's not aware of your suffering. But remember, even in the darkest night, the stars still shine, and God is still on His throne. He sees you, He knows, and He cares deeply. It's like when Jesus was sleeping in the boat during the storm, and the disciples thought He didn't care. But He did, and He calmed the storm. He's not indifferent, He's just waiting for the right time to act.

We're not sure why this trial has come your way, but we know that God is using it to shape you, to draw you closer to Him. Like gold refined by fire, you're becoming more precious. And remember, Jesus, our Great High Priest, understands your suffering. He was tempted in every way, yet without sin. He's been where you are, and now He intercedes for you.

We're praying for healing, for resolution, for God to move in a mighty way. We're asking for peace, for strength, for faith. And we're trusting that God will use this for your good and His glory. Keep crying out to Him, keep trusting. He's got you, and He won't let you go. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
