Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my family and for myself. I work seven days per week and still don't make enough to pay my bills, my husband hasn't been able to find work, my daughter has no drive to get out of bed. I'm months behind on rent and looking at possible eviction, I was recently injured everything is falling apart. I haven't been in contact with my parents and they may not be around much longer yet I continue to put them off. I feel guilty, hopeless, and lost. I'm stuck in alcohol addiction! Simply put I'm drowning and I don't know if I can continue to stay afloat I'm about to give up! I feel like it's not only my choices but also dark energy/hex or something that's causing this to be happening all at once! Please help me with the power of your prayers. Help me to seek God again and to have faith in him to have strength in him, to overcome these difficulties through him. Please pray for a miracle I don't want to lose my home or family or myself! Thank you

We stand with you in this overwhelming storm, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Your cry for help has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours, seeking the Lord’s intervention and mercy. The weight you carry is heavy—financial strain, family struggles, addiction, and the ache of broken relationships—but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, even when it feels like the waves are pulling you under.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare you sense. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and his tactics often include isolation, despair, and deception. You mentioned "dark energy" or a "hex," but Scripture is clear: greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every lie, every spirit of oppression, and every scheme of the devil in Jesus’ name. The power of Christ has already overcome the darkness, and we declare that victory over your life and family. Resist the enemy by submitting to God, drawing near to Him, and standing firm in faith (James 4:7). Do not give the devil a foothold through fear or unbelief (Ephesians 4:27).

Your struggle with alcohol addiction is not a battle you can win in your own strength. The apostle Paul writes, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray for deliverance from this bondage and for the Holy Spirit to fill you with self-control, a fruit of His presence (Galatians 5:22-23). Seek accountability through a biblical recovery program or a trusted Christian community. Confess your struggles to others who can pray with you and walk alongside you (James 5:16). The Lord is your healer, and He can break every chain.

Your financial hardship is a tangible burden, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for provision—creative opportunities, open doors for employment for both you and your husband, and divine favor with your landlord. Trust that the Lord sees your labor and will not abandon you. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). Consider seeking wise counsel from a biblical financial advisor or your church community to help navigate this season.

Your daughter’s lack of motivation may stem from deeper spiritual or emotional wounds. We pray for her heart to be softened, for hope to rise within her, and for the Holy Spirit to stir purpose in her life. Encourage her gently, but also intercede for her, for "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). Your parents’ situation grieves us, and we understand the weight of regret and guilt. The Lord invites you to come to Him with these burdens: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Reach out to them, even if it’s just to say, "I love you." Time is a gift we cannot take for granted.

Above all, we must address the foundation of your faith. You asked for help to seek God again and to have faith in Him. This is the most critical step. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have never surrendered your life to Christ or if you have wandered from Him, now is the time to return. Repentance is not about shame—it’s about turning toward the One who loves you and gave Himself for you (Romans 5:8). Confess your sins, receive His forgiveness, and ask the Holy Spirit to renew your heart. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her family. Lord, You see every tear, every struggle, and every fear. We ask for Your mercy and grace to flood their lives. Break the chains of addiction, Father, and set her free by the power of Your Spirit. Provide for their needs supernaturally—open doors for employment, soften the heart of their landlord, and surround them with Your provision. Heal her body from injury, and restore her strength.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of despair, hopelessness, and oppression in Jesus’ name. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Renew her faith and draw her close to You. Help her to cast every burden at Your feet and to trust in Your unfailing love. For her daughter, we pray for a stirring of hope and purpose. For her parents, we ask for reconciliation and Your presence to comfort them. For her husband, we pray for opportunities and favor in his job search.

Father, we declare that this family will not be destroyed. You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Work a miracle in their midst, Lord, and let them see Your glory. Restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and lead them into a season of breakthrough. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Do not give up, dear sister. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. Cling to His promises, seek His face, and let His Word be a lamp to your feet (Psalm 119:105). You are not drowning—He is holding you. Reach out to your local church or a Christian counselor for support. You are loved, you are seen, and you are not alone. The same God who parted the Red Sea can make a way where there seems to be no way. Trust Him.

We're right here with you, sister. We know it feels overwhelming, but remember, God is always near, even in the darkest times. We're lifting your family up in prayer, asking God to intervene and bring His mercy and grace into your situation.

First, we're praying for strength and courage for you. We know you're carrying a heavy load, but we believe God will give you the strength to endure. We're also asking God to help you overcome your alcohol addiction. We claim freedom from this bondage in Jesus' name, and we're praying for the Holy Spirit to fill you with self-control and a desire to live a life pleasing to God.

For your financial struggles, we're asking God to open doors for you and your husband to find employment. We're also praying for provision, that God would supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Trust that God sees your labor and will not abandon you.

We're also interceding for your daughter, asking God to soften her heart and stir purpose within her. And for your parents, we're praying for reconciliation and God's comfort to be with them.

But most importantly, we're praying for your faith to be renewed. We know it's hard to trust when everything seems to be falling apart, but God is faithful. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We're claiming that promise over you today.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you are not alone. We're standing with you, and together, we're believing for a miracle.
