It is over

The storm you describe is one no soul should endure, and I do not pretend that words can instantly mend such deep wounds. Yet listen: the evil you recount is real, fierce, and ancient. Our adversary prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour. But the blood of Jesus you invoked at the end of your cry, that blood is not a mere ending to a prayer. It is the very power that dismantled the gates of hell. When Christ hung upon the cross, He entered into all human desolation, all abandonment, all pain. He was stripped, mocked, and numbered with the transgressors, so that no one could ever say, "God does not know my suffering." He knows it intimately, He has taken it into Himself, and He has overcome it.

Do not think your present misery is a sign that God has cast you off. The Enemy whispers that you are worthless, forgotten, cursed, but those are lies forged in the same fire that will one day consume him. The Lord allows trials not to destroy you but to draw you to a desperation that finds its only refuge in Him. Consider Job, who lost everything, sat in ashes, and yet refused to curse God. His restoration came, not when he understood, but when he trusted. Your cry for a new home, for work, for healing, these are not greedy requests. They are the longings of a soul that God created for shalom, for wholeness. He put those desires in you, and He will not mock them.

But listen carefully to this: healing often comes in stages, like the man blind from birth whose sight returned gradually. You speak of an 8-year trial, a year of persistence for a job, and the fear that another year may be needed for a second job. That is not failure; that is the patient rebuilding of a life. Rome was not built in a day, as you yourself said. Do not despise the small steps. The scorn of demons, the fireworks meant to taunt you, these are the last thrashings of a defeated foe. When Christ descended into the grave, He plundered hell. His victory is total. Your scars do not disqualify you; they are the very credentials of a soldier who has stood in the battle and not surrendered.

I urge you: do not wait for your feelings to align with the truth. Declare what you know, not what you feel. The past must stay in the past, not because you can forget it, but because Christ has nailed it to the cross. You say, "It is over." Then let it be over. Entrust your dead dog, your shattered dreams, your innocent years stolen, into the hands of the One who keeps every tear in His bottle. He will raise up what has been lost in ways you cannot now imagine. For the child of God, there is no final tragedy, only a resurrection that will make all things new.

Your prayer for a Dodge Charger, clean and fresh, and for a secret home for you and your cats, God cares about the smallest details of your restoration. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies will not abandon you on the street. But even more, He cares for your soul. Do not let bitterness take root. Forgive, as hard as that sounds, not because the evil done to you was small, but because your own sins against God were colossal, and He forgave you freely. The text from my homily on reconciliation warns that if you wait for others to come to you, you may lose the crown. I speak this not to minimize your pain, but to protect you from a second prison, the prison of resentment. Give all judgment to God. He will repay. He is the righteous Judge.

Stand firm, then, not in your own strength but in the power of His might. Keep crying out. The persistent widow wore down the unjust judge; how much more will your heavenly Father hear His elect who cry to Him day and night? He will not delay long. Your restoration is at hand, even if the morning dawdles. Cling to the blood of Jesus. That blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel, it cries out not for vengeance but for mercy and redemption. Let it wash over your memories, your body, your future. Rise, take up your mat, and walk. The One who became your High Priest to make reconciliation for sins now sits at the right hand of the Father, ever interceding for you. The battle is not yours; it is the Lord's. And He has already won. Go in that peace, and do not look back.

The pain you are carrying right now is not hidden from the One who made you. When you feel torn apart, when the memories of trauma and loss come flooding back, your Heavenly Father already knows every detail. You do not need to convince Him of your need or explain the depth of the wound. He knows your eternal good, and He sees the whole picture even when you can only see shattered pieces. His love for you is not limited to what you can put into words.

Jesus was always drawn to the person in the crowd who had the greatest need. That is you right now. Your cries over your dog, your children, your pets, the horrors you witnessed, the way you were treated as though your life meant nothing, none of that escapes His notice. He does not recoil from your pain; He moves toward it. The evil that was done to you is not from Him, and He will not let it have the final word over your life.

Stop trying to inform God of the exact way restoration must come. Ask Him for what you really need, but leave the shape of the answer in His hands. If you limit Him to a dollar amount or a specific timeline, you may miss the abundance He intends. He knows you need safety, a home, a way to support yourself. He knows you long to feel loved and not abandoned. Trust Him to supply beyond what you can map out.

The deepest need you have is the healing of your soul, your salvation. What was stolen from you was terrible, but do not let the enemy convince you that you are worthless. You are not a nobody. In the family of God, the bonds run deeper than blood. There are older men and women ready to be fathers and mothers to you, and brothers and sisters to walk alongside you. You are not meant to face this alone, curled up in a ball. The body of Christ has many parts, and when one part hurts, the whole body hurts. Let others carry some of the weight.

Practical matters matter to God. Finding a part-time job, waiting for the second one, caring for your cats, cutting your toenails, these are not beneath His concern. He built our bodies to need food and rest, and He understands what it feels like to be weary. Be patient like a farmer waiting for the harvest. Rome was not built in a day, and neither is full restoration. The stagnation of years will not be undone overnight, but that does not mean it will never break.

When affliction comes, it is not always a sign of God’s absence. Sometimes it is a season in which He teaches us to cling to Him. That does not excuse the cruelty of others, but it does mean your suffering is not wasted. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word over your life than the curses you’ve heard. You have already spoken life: you declared you will not go back, that the past stays in the past. That is an act of faith, and it matters.

Stay within the shelter of God’s family. Let those who are spiritually mature help you sort through the scars. Reject any voice that says you are beyond love or that you deserve exile. That is a lie from the pit. God became whatever we needed, and right now He is your refuge and your defender. The demons that tormented you have no authority over a life covered by the blood of Jesus. When you cried out from the worst moments, He heard. He has not forgotten. Walk forward one step at a time, and trust that the full healing, of heart, of home, of relationships with your offspring and pets, is on its way. The Lord is your confidence, and He will keep your foot from being taken.

We want to thank you for trusting us with the deep pain and trauma you’ve carried for so long. It is a sacred honor to stand with you in prayer, lifting every broken piece of your heart before our Heavenly Father. We have cried out on your behalf, asking the Lord to bind the evil that has tormented you, to heal the wounds that run so deep, and to restore what has been stolen—your peace, your joy, your sense of safety, and your hope.

We continue to pray that the chains of fear and oppression would be broken in Jesus’ Name. That the memories of fireworks, screams, and loss would no longer hold power over you. That the Lord would surround you and your children—your precious offspring—with His angels, shielding you from every scheme of the enemy. We ask Him to redeem the years that were lost, to bring beauty from ashes, and to fill your home with His presence so thickly that no darkness can linger.

You spoke of persistence—of eight years of waiting, of one year of fighting for a job in secret, of refusing to give up. We see the strength of Christ in you, even when you feel weak. We pray that the Lord would reward your faithfulness, that doors would open for steady provision, and that your hands would be blessed in all you put them to. May He grant you favor as you seek a safe, hidden place where you and your children and your pets can thrive in peace.

Most of all, we pray for healing—not just of the body, but of the soul. That the love of God would so fill the empty places in your heart that you would know, beyond any doubt, that you are seen, you are valued, and you are deeply loved. That the lies of the enemy—telling you that you are worthless or unworthy of love—would be silenced by the truth of God’s Word. You are His beloved, and He has not forgotten you.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. If the battle still rages, we will not grow weary in standing with you. Post this request again, and we will continue to intercede, believing with you for breakthrough, restoration, and freedom.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May He carry you when the weight feels too heavy, and may He remind you daily that you are not alone. Keep seeking Him, dear one, for He is faithful, and His love never fails. We pray all these things in the powerful Name of Jesus. Amen.
