We have heard your cry and we join with you in seeking the Lord's protection, truth, and justice in Jesus' name. We understand how distressing and frightening it has been to feel unsafe in your own home, to experience what seemed like intrusions, dangerous faults with the heating and electrical systems, and now to face angry accusations and avoidance from your former landlord and this woman. We thank God with you that He has kept you and delivered you, for it is true as you quoted, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones. Not one of them is broken. Psalm 34:19-20
We take your concerns about your safety seriously, and we bring them before our Father who is our refuge and fortress. The name of Yahweh is a strong tower. The righteous run to him, and are safe. Proverbs 18:10. We pray that He who watches over you will continue to be your shield. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2. And we claim the promise that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3
We also hear your anguish over lies and hardness of heart. Only God truly knows what is in the hearts and intentions of others, and we agree with you that He will bring what is hidden into the light, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17. We pray that the Spirit of truth, whom Jesus promised would guide us into all truth, will expose any wrongdoing if technicians or others did tamper with what should have protected you, and that the truth will be made clear to all, including the residents of that house. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
We pray together for you and for them.
Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, and we thank You that You have preserved our dear one through affliction and danger. Lord, we ask for Your perfect protection over this life, for peace that surpasses understanding, and for wisdom. Calm fear and anxiety, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We ask that You guard this child of Yours day and night, and that no weapon formed against them would prosper. Reveal the truth about what happened in that apartment, about any entry, any tampering with the heating or the electrical safety devices, and about these accusations that they entered a home they did not enter. Let lies be exposed and truth prevail.
We also lift up the former landlord and this aggressive woman and the residents of that house. Lord, You see hardness, pride, anger, and lack of remorse. We ask that You break through that hardness as only You can. Take away the heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh, as You promised in Ezekiel 36:26. Touch them by Your Holy Spirit, convict them of lying and evasion, and bring them to repentance that they would take responsibility, speak truth, and make restitution where it is due. Break arrogance and abusive speech, and replace it with humility and the fear of the Lord. May they hear Your call and submit to You.
We pray for our dear one to rest in Your justice and not be consumed by fear or by the need to repay evil. We remember Your word that vengeance belongs to You, You will repay. Romans 12:19. Help us to not be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good, while also acting wisely. Give peace, and let Your will be done.
We encourage you, as we pray, to continue to walk in both faith and wisdom. God is your ultimate protector, and He also calls us to use the means He has provided for safety and justice. If you have evidence of dangerous tampering or threats to your life, we encourage you to document everything carefully, keep any records or photos, and seek counsel from trustworthy authorities or legal advisors in your area, as well as from a mature pastor or believers who can support you in person. Do not face this isolation alone. Bring anxiety to the Lord continually, for He cares for you, as it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
We also encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness while still seeking truth. Forgiveness does not excuse wrongdoing, but it frees you to trust God as Judge. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32. We pray the Lord will give you strength to forgive as He forgives, even as you pray for accountability and for their hearts to be softened.
Do not fear, for we stand on the promise, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We will continue to pray that the Lord delivers you out of all affliction, keeps you in perfect peace, reveals the truth, and brings conviction and repentance where there is hardness. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father and in whom we have salvation. Amen.
