We have heard your cry and we are standing with you in prayer, thanking God that He has protected you through these frightening and confusing months. We understand how unsettling it is to feel unsafe in your own home, to see signs that someone may have entered, to experience electric shocks and problems with the heating, and then to be falsely accused by a neighbor you had never even spoken to. It is right to bring all of this into the light before the Lord, for He sees what is hidden and He is our refuge.
We take comfort with you in the word you shared, Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:20 He keeps all his bones. Not one of them is broken. Psalm 34:21 Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. We also cling to Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:2 I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. And we remember 2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. When fear rises about whether someone intended to harm you, we bring that fear to Jesus, for we know the Spirit of Truth will guide us into all truth, John 16:13, and Luke 12:2 But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Only God knows what is in every heart, and we can trust Him to expose what needs to be exposed in His perfect time, and to protect you from what is not yet clear.
We want to gently encourage you while also speaking truth. If there was real danger in that flat, such as the heating being tampered with or the RCD being disconnected and causing shocks, it is wise and biblical to act prudently as well as prayerfully. We encourage you to keep any records, photos, or witness accounts you have, and if you believe your life was endangered, to seek wise counsel and to report these matters to the proper authorities who are appointed to protect, Romans 13:1, Romans 13:4. We also encourage you not to let fear or suspicion take root in your heart beyond what is true, but to cast all your anxiety on Him, Philippians 4:6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We lift up the landlord who is avoiding you and the woman who came against you with lies and abusive words. We rebuke lying, arrogance, and abusive behavior, for Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, and James 1:20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. There is no remorse where there should be responsibility, and hardness of heart grieves the Lord. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict and soften these hearts, as you have asked, that He would give them a heart of flesh according to Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray for the other residents as well, that they would see the truth that you never entered their apartment and that any false accusation would fall away, for Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
We also pray for you to walk in both truth and love, even toward those who have wronged you. Romans 12:19 says Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not mean we excuse wrongdoing, but we release the need for personal vengeance and trust God to bring justice and repentance. We thank God that you have called on the name of Jesus and the Spirit of Truth, for John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard and we are saved, Acts 4:12.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our protector. We thank You that You have kept this dear one through affliction and delivered them from harm. We ask You to be their shield and refuge now, to calm every fear and to guard their heart and mind with Your peace. Lord, shine Your light on all that has been hidden. If there was intentional tampering, negligence, or deceit that put life in danger, expose it according to Your perfect justice and mercy. If there are lies spoken against this child of Yours, let the truth be made clear to all residents and authorities. Holy Spirit, touch the landlord and this angry woman, break their arrogance and hardness, convict them of lying and abuse, and bring them to repentance and responsibility. Give them hearts of flesh that hear Your call and submit to You. We ask that You would provide restitution where it is due, and that You would heal the wounds of being falsely accused and feeling unsafe. Help our dear one to walk in wisdom, to take prudent steps for safety, to seek godly counsel, and to forgive as You have forgiven us, while still trusting You to defend the righteous. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we rest in Your promise to deliver the righteous out of all afflictions. In the mighty and truthful name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
