Is bias a sin?

Jesus said,"you have become judges rendering wicked decisions." And," If a rich man comes in to the congregation, you say, "have a seat up in the front row', but if a poor man comes in , you say, "sit over there."That being said, some examples of bias I can think of, see if it's considered a sin.Bias is similar to favoritism, because the person sides with the one they're more emotionally attached to than who's actually right. I've been on the receiving end of this before.Like, the first person does something that's "not right" to the other, but when hearing it from both, they "cover for" the wrongdoer because they're "friendlier" with them, etc.{To them, it's not about right or wrong, it's about "covering for" who they like better.}But according to Biblical instructions, isn't this wrong?Aren't we supposed to judge even handedly, in fairness? Is "leaning towards" one side over he other,,in a partial way, without being neutral,is that somewhat of a sin by Biblical standards, because it's unfair? It's like the fix is in for these people, before even considering whos right or wrong, their mind is already made up. Favoritism and bias a sin?

Right is right and wrong is wrong..a lie is a lie.....regardless of who you are or how much money you have...we don't have the right to judge anyone...only God does.

If a rich man comes in your church and shows you golden watches full of rubies and expensive clothes and with a late model car. Would you give him more room to sit than those who have nothing? Jesus loves everyone who comes in to worship the Lord. Do not judge who is rich and who is poor. Just pray for all of them. Everyone of us need the Lord. Remember, silver and gold will not enter heaven.

No I personally wouldn't show favoritism, but I was quoting what I observe. Jesus gave that as an example, but I've had people "cover for" those they like better over me, even though the person they like did wrong.Like favoritism.Thought there was something wrong with that!!

A person asked if a believer commits suicide, will they go to hell? Based on God's word - no. Jesus says that no one will snatch his sheep from his Father's hand. "My sheep hear my voice. I know them and they follow me." God is a man who cannot lie. He made a promise that no one can snatch his...
