Beloved of All
"Is Anything too Difficult for for the LORD? (מֵיְהוָ֖ה YHWH, Yahweh), Gen 18:14, "Nothing is too Difficult for You!" Jer 32:27... Father, You, Jesus and The Holy Spirit all bore witness to this POWER YOU ALONE POSSESS -- Matt 28:18-30, To Isaiah, "Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short that it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear," Isaiah 59:1, nor do You stop there! You reiterate the same FACT to Jeremiah, as He expresses the crazy confidence he has in YOU, and You two have a moment the recorded as well, "And You have said to me, O Lord YHWH, ‘Buy for yourself the field with silver, to testify and cause witnesses— even though the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans!’” 26 "And the word of YHWH came to Jeremiah, saying: 'Behold, I AM YHWH, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me? Jer 32:25-27...

LORD, You've convinced me. Forgive me for doubting. You CERTAINLY know how to reach my wife -- We've been asking for Your mercy and kindness to lead her to repentance, Rom 2:4 -- we've been praying You'd convict her of righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:8 -- we've been praying You hedge her way with thorns, Hos 2:6-7 -- we've been praying You'd use her church and family, Matt 18:15-18 -- we've been praying You give her visions, dreams, prophecies, Joel 2:28-32, that she hears preaching, gets visits from friends, evangelists cross her paths... Pour out some ANSWERS she can't deny -- SEND and evangelist every place she goes! Matt 9:36-37... Some of us have been praying for 2 yrs 8 mo... Let their be preachers on every corner! Let their be dreams every night! HAVE SOME FUN WITH THIS, LORD! Like when the frogs stank and the Egyptians begged Pharaoh! Show Your POWER to her! Grant words of knowledge to be given to people for her, 1 Cor 12:4-8, let everyone prophesy to her the mysteries of her heart until she proclaims, "SURELY GOD IS AMONG YOU, 1 Cor 14:24-25...

Jesus, we take Your yoke upon ourselves and learn from You, for You are gentle and humble in heart, and we indeed find the rest we need for our souls, Matt 11:28-30, as we cast ALL our cares upon You, The LORD, for. You care for us, 1 peter 5:7. Have mercy on us, forgive us for we all doubt at times, guide her, my son, her family, church and US, and turn her from darkness to light, from the power of shatan to God, Acts 26:18-20, for 'Nothing is TOO DIFFICULT for YOU! Thank You in Jesus' Name, Phil 4:6-7.

A Warning Against Hardness of Heart
Thorn in the Flesh
The Termini of Two City Roads
We join with you in this cry and we stand amazed at your faith even through the doubting, for you have rightly declared that nothing is too difficult for the Lord. As it is written, Is anything too hard for Yahweh Gen 18:14 and Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me Jer 32:27. We have also been reminded that the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it can't save, neither his ear heavy, that it can't hear Isa 59:1, and that all authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth Matt 28:18, so we come with confidence before His throne.

We hear the burden you carry for your wife and for your marriage and your son, and we have been praying now with you for these two years and eight months that God in His mercy would lead her to repentance. We love your appeal to scripture, for it is indeed the kindness of God that leads to repentance Rom 2:4 and it is the Holy Spirit who will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment John 16:8. We agree with you in praying that the Lord would hedge up her way with thorns as He promised through Hosea Hos 2:6, that where she seeks what is outside of His will she would find no satisfaction and would return to her husband and to her God. We also join you in praying that the Lord would use her family and her church to speak the truth in love and to fulfill the pattern of going to a brother or sister in love to restore them Matt 18:15, and that He would pour out His Spirit and speak to her even through dreams and visions Joel 2:28 and through the faithful preaching of the Word and through evangelists and friends who cross her path, for the harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few Matt 9:37.

We affirm what you already know, that marriage is a holy covenant before God between one man and one woman for life, as Jesus said, What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matt 19:6. God hates the breaking of that covenant Mal 2:16 and calls a husband to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Eph 5:25, and calls both husband and wife not to leave one another but to be reconciled 1 Cor 7:10. We commend you for not giving up on your wife and for continuing to take the yoke of Christ upon you, for He is gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls Matt 11:29, and we encourage you to keep casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Pet 5:7.

We also gently encourage you as you wait, do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don't give up Gal 6:9, and remember the call to pray always and not to faint Luke 18:1. The Lord hears every prayer you have prayed in Jesus' name, and He will answer according to His perfect will and timing, for this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. At times we all doubt as you confessed, but we are called to ask in faith, without wavering James 1:6, trusting that His ways and His timing are higher than ours Isa 55:9, and that He desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9. Your desire to see the Lord move powerfully, even that all who speak to her would prophesy and the secrets of her heart would be revealed so she will fall down on her face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed 1 Cor 14:25, is a right desire when it is offered with reverence and submission to His sovereign will, not as a demand but as a humble plea for His glory.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved Acts 4:12 and no other way to the Father except through Him John 14:6. We thank You that nothing is too difficult for You and that Your hand is not too short to save our sister. We ask for Your mercy and kindness to overwhelm her heart and lead her to repentance. Holy Spirit, convict her of sin and righteousness and judgment, open her eyes that she may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that she may receive remission of sins Acts 26:18. Hedge her way with thorns where she strays, and cause her to find no peace until she returns to You and to the covenant of her marriage. Bring faithful laborers across her path, bring preachers and witnesses and family and her church to speak Your Word in love, give dreams and visions and words of knowledge as You will 1 Cor 12:8, that she may know You are near. Protect and comfort her husband and her son and give them rest as they take Your yoke and cast their cares upon You. Forgive us where we have doubted, strengthen our faith, and guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Phil 4:7. We ask that You would restore this marriage for Your glory, that it would be a testimony of Your redeeming power and Your faithfulness. We trust Your perfect will and Your perfect timing and we thank You that You hear us. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear the weight and the hope in your prayer, and how long you have carried it. Two years and eight months of asking God to draw your wife back is a long road, and we honor your honesty about doubting at times while still choosing to trust that nothing is too difficult for Him.

We are standing with you in that trust. We also hear your love for your wife, your son, and her family and church, and your desire not just for your marriage to be restored but for her to truly know Him. Waiting like this can be lonely and exhausting, and it helps not to carry it alone.

One steady next step that helps many in a long season like this is to stay closely connected to one or two trusted brothers or a pastor who know your story and can walk with you week by week. Not only to pray for your wife, but to check in on you and your son, to listen, and to help you keep your own heart rested and steady as you wait on the Lord.

Father, we bring this husband, his wife and his son before You. You see each of them and You know every detail we cannot see. Give this brother continued strength and peace as he casts his cares on You, guard his son in this time, and in Your mercy and kindness work in his wife's heart in the way only You can. Give them all wisdom for the next steps and draw each of them closer to Yourself. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Nothing is too difficult for the Lord, and He has heard your long pleading these two years and eight months. Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither His ear heavy that it cannot hear, and with Him all things are possible. You do well to cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and to take the yoke of Christ and learn of Him, for there you find rest for your soul.

Yet let us consider what it is for which you ask. You pray that your wife may be brought to repentance, and you have entreated the Lord to hedge her way with thorns and to multiply convictions and providences about her. Hear then what the Scripture teaches concerning repentance, for there is a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature, and there is a repentance unto life which is the work of the Spirit of God.

Judgments alone may produce a carnal repentance, a terror wrought by thorns and fear, but such repentance gives not God glory. True repentance, the repentance which is the gift of God and which He accepts, gives God glory. It makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work. It leads a soul to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only. Where there is no such repentance there can be no remission, but where there is this godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through the blood of the cross.

You must not think of repentance as a preparation for grace which you or she can work up by multiplied means, for repentance is not a preparation for grace, it is the first result of grace working within the soul. We are not to preach repentance after the manner of Moses, as a demand, but to preach repentance in the name of Jesus, as the gift of God. Faith and repentance are inseparable graces, and neither is a condition of salvation in the sense of merit, for nothing is to be trusted but the finished work of Jesus Christ upon Calvary's tree. Salvation is by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, and whoever believes on Him, trusting wholly upon His person and His atonement, shall not be ashamed.

Therefore pray on, but pray for that which God delights to give. Ask not only for hedges and dreams and voices, but that the Holy Spirit, who convinces of sin and of righteousness and of judgment to come, would grant her repentance unto life and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. That repentance lives as long as faith lives, and it is sweet company even to the end. The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. As with the prodigal, the father saw him when he was yet a great way off, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him with much love, much forgiveness and full restoration. So the Lord sees your wife and your son and you, long before you see Him, and His compassions are already moved.

Hold fast to the covenant of marriage as God ordained it, one man and one woman for life, and seek not that God should bless any path that departs from it, but that He would turn her from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that she may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Christ. Pray also for yourself, that your own repentance and faith may be sincere, however small, for the least true faith saves and the least true repentance will save the soul if it is sincere, and that you may be upheld by His free Spirit and restored to the joy of His salvation.

We will pray with you. O Lord God of all flesh, is anything too difficult for You. You have all power in heaven and in earth. Grant, we beseech You, to this wife, to this son, to this household and to this church, that godly repentance which is Your gift, and remission of sins through the name of Jesus. Convict by Your Spirit, draw by Your lovingkindness, and bring the wanderer home, not with a carnal sorrow that passes away, but with a heart that glorifies You and trusts alone in Christ. Uphold this husband who waits and prays, keep him gentle and humble under the yoke of Christ, and let Your mercy lead all to repentance. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who alone is the way of salvation. Amen.
