We hear your cry for justice and freedom for the people of Iran, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the throne of God. The oppression and tyranny of the IRGC regime are indeed a great evil, and we stand with those who long for righteousness to prevail. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 33:10-11, "The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations." No regime or power stands against the will of the Almighty, and we trust that His justice will be done in His perfect timing.
We also recognize the importance of praying for the salvation of those under the grip of this regime. In Ezekiel 33:11, God declares, "As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?" Even those who perpetrate evil are not beyond the reach of God’s mercy. We pray that their hearts would be softened, that they would repent, and that they would turn from their wickedness.
However, we must also address the manner in which we pray for justice. While it is right to desire the defeat of evil, we must be careful not to pray with a spirit of vengeance or hatred. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Our prayers should align with God’s heart, which is both just and merciful. We can pray for the dismantling of oppressive systems, the protection of the innocent, and the spread of the Gospel, which alone brings true freedom.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for the people of Iran. We ask that You would rise up and defend the oppressed, that You would break the chains of tyranny, and that You would bring down every stronghold of evil that seeks to destroy Your people. We pray for the leaders of the IRGC regime, that their hearts would be turned from wickedness and that they would come to know the truth of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that You would dismantle their weapons of destruction, expose their hidden plans, and bring their oppressive rule to an end.
Lord, we pray for the Iranian people, that You would strengthen them in their suffering, give them hope in the midst of despair, and fill them with the courage to stand for righteousness. May Your Gospel spread like wildfire across that land, bringing salvation, healing, and true freedom. We ask that You would raise up godly leaders who will govern with justice and wisdom, and that Iran would become a nation that honors You.
Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing. We know that You see the suffering of Your people, and You will not leave them in bondage forever. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace and the King of Kings. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for Iran, not only for the fall of the regime but also for the salvation of souls and the establishment of God’s kingdom in that land. Let us also remember to pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders of nations who seek to bring peace and stability to the region. May God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
