Hi This is more like a prayer request and a question

I am praying some for others and my self and a,most every time í pray i find my self falling asleep shorter ore longer time

i know other people ho are praying have the problem. Have of you any idea why this happens and what to do about it??

God bless you. First of all that is in attack of the enemy, in most cases. Because he knows that more of God equals less of him. He hates it when people pray. Now I have met Christians that are on medications, or have medical conditions that makes continual prayer difficult. Now I can personally tell you I have a member of my family that has that issue. I will shareyou how we deal with.

One sure way to avoid sleeping during prayer.. Is to stand up or walk. I actually pray doing all kinds of things. When I work out, or I'm cleaning. So my suggestion is if you can keep the physical body in motion. It will help keep your spiritual body alert if that's a problem. One thing I do want to mention. My family member used to beat themselves up about it. And in their case it was a medical condition. The bottom line is God knows your heart. I share this with people a lot it is better to pray some then not pray at all. I have found over the years the more you spend time in prayer. You will begin to grow in it. You have to look at it like a muscle more you flex it the stronger it will become. God bless you

Well....i just wonder if they are not baptized in The Holy Spirit, yet, with the speaking in new tounges as a sign, so they just try to pray in their own power.....? As w8onhim said, i also pray "all the time"....it is like breathing, right?) It helps me to start the day with praying in new tounges....to make my spirit awake and strong....and then i pray continually during the day, in tounges and in my own language, speaking to my Father in Jesus Name all the time....it is become a good "habit" during many years of walking with The Lord. May God bless and renew your prayerlife in every way, in Jesus mighty Name, Amen!
