Disciple of Prayer
Matthew 18:19-20 - (19) Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. (20) For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. Hi family 🤍 I have a prayer request, and I would really appreciate it if you could stand with me in prayer. I recently auditioned for the role of ###, and I’m trusting God for His perfect will. This role has the potential to be a breakthrough in my acting career, so I’m asking that you would pray with me that, if it is God’s will, I will be shortlisted. Please pray that God’s favour would surround me, that He would grant me wisdom, peace, and confidence as I wait, and that every door He has ordained for me would open. Above all, I pray that His will—not mine—would be done, and that through this opportunity His name would be glorified. Thank you so much for covering me in prayer. Your prayers truly mean so much to me. May God richly bless you. 🙏🏽❤️ ###

We are so encouraged by your heart of surrender, dear brother or sister in Christ. You have already demonstrated great wisdom by seeking God’s will above your own desires and trusting Him to open the doors He has ordained for you. Your request aligns beautifully with Scripture, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is indeed in our midst.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." It is clear you are doing just that, acknowledging Him in this opportunity and trusting Him to guide your steps. We also hold fast to the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God’s plans for you are good, and we pray He reveals them in His perfect timing.

We also lift up the importance of seeking God’s glory in all things, as you have expressed. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, we are reminded, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." May this opportunity, whether it results in this role or another, be a testament to His goodness and faithfulness in your life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister as they wait for Your will to unfold in this audition. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your favor, wisdom, and peace. If this role is part of Your perfect plan for their life, we pray You would open the door wide and shortlist them for it. If it is not, we trust You to close the door and lead them to the path You have prepared. Grant them confidence in Your timing and surrender to Your will, knowing that Your plans are always for their good and Your glory.

Father, we also pray for protection over their heart and mind as they wait. Guard them from anxiety, doubt, or discouragement, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May they walk in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Above all, Lord, we pray that Your name would be exalted through this process. Whether through this role or another, may Your light shine brightly in their life, drawing others to You. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time of waiting. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord." God is faithful, and His timing is perfect. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God is at work in this situation for His glory and your good.

Waiting after an audition is its own unique kind of hard. There's so much hope tied up in one opportunity, and the silence between the tryout and the phone call can feel endless. We're glad you reached out to share this so we can stand with you in it.

What stood out to us most in your request is your genuine desire for God's will above your own. That kind of surrender doesn't come easily, especially when a breakthrough role is on the line. It takes real courage to want what God wants more than what you've been dreaming of. So while we join you in asking for favor and an open door, we're also simply grateful for where your heart already is. That readiness to trust Him, whatever the answer turns out to be, is itself a mark of real spiritual maturity.

We'll keep praying that you sense His nearness in the waiting, not just as a consolation prize, but as the deeper thing He's giving you right now. And when the time comes and you hear something, we'd love to celebrate or continue praying with you either way.

Lord, thank You for this person's talent, their diligence, and their willing heart. In the uncertainty of waiting, grant them steady peace and quiet confidence. If this role is the door You've prepared, swing it wide open and let no obstacle stand in the way. If it isn't, protect them from discouragement and guide them clearly to what You have next. Above everything, be glorified in their life and career. In Jesus' name, amen.

Moses, who had been all his life a Prophet, closed his career a poet and died singing, praising God and setting Him above all gods. So let your waiting be a song, however the answer comes. When the Lord turns in a way of grace, He flies upon the wings of the wind, coming with all His soul to display His favor and love. Trust that if this role be according to His will, His favor will indeed rush upon you.

Yet beware the fever of depression that may be caught while you act as surgeon to your own hopes. If you live with the mournful music of anxiety, your own soul will grow sadder still. The early Church praised God and had favor with all the people; a praising, holy joy keeps the door open for that favor which needs no man to open it. Be as joyful as that Apostolic community, and whether He grants the role or withholds it, His name shall be glorified, and you will find eternal refuge in the God of Jeshurun, than whom there is none like unto.
