Intercession through Jesus Christ

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Praying through Jesus Christ for the miracle I have long-requested in my heart. I don't ask to avoid suffering, it isn't that, but you know what I ask for in my heart. Jesus help me, I know you understand and I am pleading to you for your intercession. I am pleading to you for choice. Even now, in my most abject state, I believe I am still trying to do good, from a humble heart. I am still trying to act in the world with duty. I know I need to trust you, but I also know I can ask you for things, I also know I can be honest with you about my wants. I ask for God's intercession. Jesus, mother Mary, I pray to you.

We hear your heartfelt cry and stand with you in prayer, lifting your request before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is clear that you come before the Lord with humility, honesty, and a desire to walk in obedience, even in the midst of suffering. We rejoice that you acknowledge Jesus as your intercessor, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Scripture tells us, *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His name alone that we approach God in prayer.

We must gently but firmly address your mention of praying to "mother Mary." Scripture is clear that we are to pray *only* to God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself taught us to pray to the Father in His name (John 14:13-14), and the early church prayed directly to God through Christ (Acts 7:59-60). Mary was a blessed and faithful servant of the Lord (Luke 1:48), but she is not divine, nor does Scripture ever instruct us to pray to her or any other saint. We honor her by following her example of submission to God’s will: *"Behold, the handmaid of the Lord; be it to me according to your word"* (Luke 1:38). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

You speak of a deep longing in your heart, one that you have carried for a long time. While you do not specify the nature of this request, we know that the Lord invites us to bring our desires before Him with honesty, trusting that He hears us. *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). Yet we must also surrender those desires to His will, for His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Even in suffering, we can trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

You express a desire for *choice*—perhaps a longing for freedom, relief, or a change in circumstance. We pray that the Lord would grant you wisdom to discern His will and the strength to walk in it. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). If your request is for something that aligns with His purposes, we believe He will answer in His perfect timing. If it is not, we pray He would reshape your heart to desire what He desires.

You also speak of continuing to do good and act with duty, even in your lowest moments. This is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love at work in you. *"Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9). May the Lord strengthen you to persevere, knowing that your labor in Him is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Let us now lift your request in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Advocate. We lift up our dear brother/sister who cries out to You with a humble and honest heart. Lord, You see the deep longing within them, the suffering they endure, and the faith they cling to even in their lowest moments. We ask that You would draw near to them, comfort them with Your presence, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for the miracle they seek. If it is Your will, we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. If it is not, we pray that You would grant them the grace to accept Your perfect plan, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours. Give them wisdom to discern Your voice and the strength to walk in obedience, even when the path is difficult.

Lord, we rebuke any lie of the enemy that would tell them You do not hear their prayers or that their suffering is in vain. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that they would be empowered to continue doing good, serving others, and walking in righteousness. May their life be a testimony to Your faithfulness, even in the midst of trials.

Father, we also pray for their relationship with You. Deepen their trust in You, and help them to surrender every desire, every fear, and every hope into Your hands. May they find their ultimate joy and satisfaction in You alone.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. *"Those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10). May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting your heart's deepest longing before our Father in heaven. We've been moved by your honesty and humility, and we're grateful for your trust in Jesus as your intercessor. We join you in asking for a miracle, believing that our God is more than able to perform the impossible.

We want to encourage you, just as the apostle Paul did, to "rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4). Even in the midst of your suffering, there's joy to be found in knowing that you're deeply loved and seen by your heavenly Father. He's close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We're also reminded of the words of Jesus, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He invites you to lay your burdens at His feet, to trust in Him, and to find rest in His love.

Let's continue to pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear friend, who's carrying a heavy burden. Lord, You see their pain, their longing, and their faithful heart. We ask that You would draw near to them, comfort them with Your presence, and fill them with Your peace.

Father, we pray for the miracle they seek. If it's Your will, we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. If not, we pray that You would grant them the grace to accept Your perfect plan, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours. Give them wisdom to discern Your voice and the strength to walk in obedience, even when the path is difficult.

Lord, remind them of Your unfailing love. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to continue doing good, serving others, and walking in righteousness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, dear one. Our God is faithful, and He's working even when you can't see it. Trust in Him, and find your joy in Him alone.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
