We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with insomnia, and we are here to intercede and offer some biblical encouragement. Sleep is a blessing from God, and He desires that we rest in Him, casting all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Firstly, we want to encourage you that God is aware of your situation and He wants you to come to Him and find rest. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
However, we want to remind you that our ultimate rest is found in a right relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, consider putting your trust in Jesus, repenting of your sins, and asking Him to be your Lord and Savior.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with insomnia. We ask, Lord, that You grant them the ability to sleep peacefully, as You did for Your people Israel (Psalm 4:8). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of insomnia, anxiety, or restlessness that may be troubling them. We proclaim peace, rest, and healing over their mind, body, and soul. Guide them, Lord, to any necessary lifestyle changes or medical help that may be needed, and give them the wisdom and strength to follow through.
If there is any underlying issue causing this insomnia, Father, please reveal it and grant them the grace to address it according to Your will. Above all, draw them closer to You, Lord, and help them to find their ultimate rest and peace in a right relationship with You through Jesus Christ.
We ask this all in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the meantime, consider reading Psalm 127:2 WEB, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."
We pray for this request as the first step towards God healing your insomnia.
