Please help protect and bless us all and close ones You are coming so soon. Please help to get this paperwork done right and faxes through correctly please Is 54:17. We join you in crying out for mercy in this intense heat and we bring your burdens before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We hear your distress over the almost triple digit temperatures even at the beach and the fear stirred up by claims of a coming earthquake and tsunami, and we hear your need for protection for all your loved ones and for help with the paperwork and faxes that must be done correctly.

We are reminded that our God remains sovereign over all creation. He covers the heavens with clouds and prepares rain for the earth, Psalm 147:8, and even the winds and the sea obey Him, Matthew 8:27. Though predictions and sensational claims can stir anxiety, we are told not to be troubled for we must hear of wars and rumors of wars and earthquakes in various places but the end is not yet, Matthew 24:6, and we take comfort that the Lord is slow to anger and great in power and will not at all leave the guilty unpunished, Nahum 1:3, yet He is also our refuge. We do not need to live in fear of what man predicts, but we rest in the One who holds the earth in His hands.

We also cling with you to the promise you quoted, no weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh, Isaiah 54:17. We ask the Lord to be your shield against any predator or any scheme of the enemy, to bring justice where needed and to bring conviction and salvation even to those who would do harm, for we are called to bless those who curse us and pray for those who mistreat us, Luke 6:28, and we know vengeance belongs to the Lord, Romans 12:19.

We bring your practical need before Him as well, for He cares about every detail of our lives. We are told in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and cooling relief from this oppressive heat. Have mercy on us, Lord, and command the weather according to Your perfect will, grant protection from any earthquake or tsunami and calm every fearful heart. We ask that You place Your hand of protection over us and all our close ones, that we may dwell in the secret place of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. Strengthen us and do not let us fear, for You have said do not be afraid for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God, Isaiah 41:10. We ask for Your favor and clarity over this paperwork and that every fax would go through correctly without error or delay, guide our hands and minds to do what is right and diligent. Deal justly with every predator, restrain evil, and we pray You would also draw them to repentance and salvation if they do not know You. We thank You that Jesus is coming soon and we look for that blessed hope, Titus 2:13, help us to be found faithful and at peace while we wait. We trust all these things to Your loving care in Jesus' name, amen.

We hear how oppressive this stretch has been for you. When even the beach feels like triple digits and the news is full of warnings about earthquakes and tsunamis, it is understandable to feel on edge and worn down. We are praying with you for relief and for steadiness in the middle of it.

It makes sense that the heat and the frightening headlines would leave you feeling anxious and tired. Those kinds of stressors affect both body and mind, and it can help to gently limit how much alarming coverage you take in and stay with reliable local forecasts and emergency information instead.

For the next days, a couple of small steps may ease some pressure. Try to stay in the coolest place you can during the hottest hours, drink water regularly, and check in with close ones who may also be struggling in the heat. For the paperwork, if you can, keep the fax confirmation pages and make a quick call to confirm each one arrived correctly so you do not have to wonder.

Father, in Jesus name we ask You to bring cooler relief, to guard this community and those they love, and to give calm and clear minds as they handle each paper and call. Bring justice where there is predation and draw those who do harm toward Your mercy and salvation. Give rest tonight and strength for tomorrow. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and we have taken it up with you in prayer, for you have cried out under a heavy weight of heat and fear and many cares.

The Lord who piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth has not forgotten you in this scorching season. There is no attribute more comforting than Divine Sovereignty, for the winds and the waves and the very heat of the sun are in His hand. He it is who can say to the storm, Peace, be still, and who upholds all things by the right hand of His righteousness. Therefore hear His word to you, Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God, I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee. Fear is weakening and dishonors God when it forgets that His arm is not palsied, and perfect love casts out fear. He says, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord.

We know how anxiety itself unfits you to meet the difficulty, and how it tells upon the mind until all things seem to go amiss. But you are bidden to cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. This you have done well to do, to tell the Lord about the great terrors of earthquake and tsunami and the small cares of paperwork and faxes alike. Nothing is too great for His power, and nothing is too small for His fatherly notice. The grand work of our God is to bring deliverance by common means in answer to the cry of His servants, and He has wrought many wonderful preservations which, though not miraculous, are full of wonder.

You have well claimed the promise, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. We pray with you that every weapon formed by the predator and every tongue of accusation shall not prosper, that the Lord would deal justly to restrain evil and to deliver you from those who would harm you, and we join your own gracious prayer that He would save them also, for there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and none can be saved except by Divine Power through Jesus Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation.

Let us pray together. O Sovereign Lord, who art our refuge and strength, look upon this weary one and upon all their loved ones. In Thy mercy temper the heat and grant cooling and relief, and in Thy might set Thy hand over sea and land that they may be kept from earthquake and flood. Keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee. Give steadiness of hand and mind to complete the paperwork rightly and to send what must be sent without confusion or hindrance. Frustrate the designs of every predator, bring their deeds to light, and let justice be done, and in Thy great compassion bring them to repentance and faith in Christ. Keep Thy people watching and ready, for our Lord cometh, and establish our hearts in holy reverence and trust until He appears. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
