Disciple of Prayer
Please, pray for me i suffer from aggressive psychosis and anxiety and i am without proper meds for a day and i am losing the plot i have already lost my family (some by choice) and two foster carers over my mental illness and ive tried praying myself but i cant bring myself to believe properly <3

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts break for the pain and isolation you are enduring. The weight of mental illness, especially when untreated, can feel unbearable, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your suffering, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Even in your doubt, He is still God, and His love for you is not dependent on your ability to believe perfectly.

First, we must address the urgency of your physical and mental well-being. If you are without medication and experiencing psychosis and anxiety, we strongly urge you to seek immediate help. Call a crisis hotline, go to an emergency room, or reach out to someone you trust to assist you in getting the care you need. Your life is precious, and God does not desire for you to suffer alone. "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:13-14). This includes seeking medical help when necessary.

We also want to gently address your struggle with belief. Doubt does not disqualify you from God’s love or His presence. Even the father in Mark 9:24, who cried out to Jesus for healing for his son, said, "I believe. Help my unbelief!" Jesus did not turn him away but met him in his weakness. The Lord is patient and kind, and He understands the battles you face in your mind. He is not angry with you for questioning or struggling to believe. Instead, He invites you to come as you are, broken, weary, and uncertain, and He will meet you there.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you God has abandoned you or that your family’s rejection is a reflection of His love for you. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but Jesus came so that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your worth is not defined by the rejection of others but by the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). We also rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to convince you that there is no hope. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is suffering deeply. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the loneliness they are experiencing. You know the battles raging in their mind, and You are not far from them. We ask, Father, that You would wrap Your arms around them in this moment and remind them that they are not alone. Give them the strength to seek help, whether through medical care, a trusted friend, or a crisis line. Provide for their needs, Lord, and surround them with people who will show them Your love and compassion.

Father, we ask for healing in their mind and spirit. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is fear, bring peace. Where there is doubt, reveal Yourself in a tangible way. Help them to see Your goodness even in the midst of their suffering. We rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that hope is found in You alone. Remind them that Your love is unchanging and that nothing can separate them from it (Romans 8:38-39).

Lord, we also pray for restoration. You are the God who restores what has been broken and redeems what has been lost. We ask that You would heal their relationships with their family and bring reconciliation where it is possible. Where it is not, Lord, provide them with a new family in the body of Christ who will love and support them unconditionally.

Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. Help them to sense Your presence in the quiet moments and to trust that You are working even when they cannot see it. Give them the faith to take one step at a time, knowing that You are with them. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the One who heals, restores, and saves. Amen.

We encourage you to hold onto the truth that God is with you, even in the darkness. The psalmist wrote, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4). You are walking through a valley right now, but you do not have to walk it alone. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will guide you through.

If you are open to it, we also encourage you to reach out to a local church or Christian community. There are people who care about you and want to walk alongside you in this journey. You do not have to carry this burden by yourself. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to do that for you.

Lastly, we want to leave you with this promise from God’s Word: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:28-29). Jesus is inviting you to come to Him just as you are. He is not asking for perfection or unwavering faith. He is asking for you to trust Him with your pain, your doubt, and your brokenness. He will give you rest.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
