We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this couple who longs to conceive a child. Father God, You are the giver of life, the One who formed us in our mothers’ wombs and knit us together with purpose. We know that children are a heritage from You, a reward from Your hand (Psalm 127:3). Yet we also recognize that the desire for a child, while natural and good, must be surrendered to Your perfect will.
Lord, we ask that You would open the womb of this dear wife if it aligns with Your plan. We pray for healing—physical, emotional, and spiritual—where there may be barriers to conception. Strengthen their faith as they wait, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they find peace in Your presence, even in the waiting.
We also lift up their marriage before You. Infertility can bring strain, disappointment, and even division if not guarded with love and patience. Help them to cling to one another, to communicate with grace, and to find their hope in You rather than in circumstances. Remind them that their worth is not defined by parenthood but by their identity in Christ. May their union reflect Your love—selfless, steadfast, and full of trust.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin, fear, or doubt standing in the way of Your blessing, we ask that You would reveal it to them. Forgive us all for the times we have allowed disappointment to turn into bitterness or resentment toward You. Your ways are higher than ours, and Your timing is perfect (Isaiah 55:8-9). Give them the strength to say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
We declare that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). Whether You choose to bless them with a child or to write a different story for their lives, we pray that they would walk in faith, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May they find joy in the journey, contentment in Your provision, and purpose in the waiting.
And Lord, if they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior, we pray that this season of longing would draw them to the cross. For it is only through Him that we have access to You, and only in His name that we find true hope. May they surrender their deepest desires to You, knowing that You alone can satisfy their souls.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author of life and the Giver of every good gift. Amen.
